Aside from how comfortable it may or not be, there are practical issues to be considered. Initial, and operating cost are important factors in considering whether to lease or purchase new vehicles. Someone already mentioned parts availability. A top speed of 155 MPH is absurd. There are no roads in American on which such a speed, even for a short time/distance could even remotely be considered as safe. Buying the first production of a new untested vehicle is a crap shoot that most state, county and local governments would be well advised to avoid.

The issue of officers on foot patrols has nothing to do directly with the car itself. Foot patrols work well in the CBD and concentrated neighborhoods and malls, not in the wide open spaces of the western USA. The manufacturer ought to loan units to the Alaska State Troopers and the State Police in Minnesota and North Dakota and Nevada to see if the vehicles will truly stand up to long miles and harsh weather conditions.

Buyer beware !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I am still amazed at how many idiots there are posting comments via their ignorance. What the US needs to do is stop the indiscriminate breeding and maybe the population will become smarter and less violent. If violent irresponsible people were kept from breeding we would all see a marked improvement in society in a generation or two.

you cops are all the same. The cops in my town should be on horseback. They use their cars as bedrooms for 4 hours and 4 supercop cars the other 4 pulling people over non stop, trying to get those fines up so 15% can go back to policee training. We have 26 full time officers in exeter, nh a town of maybe 20,000 people. We have 6 marked cars, 1 ford 500 for the chief, 1 unmarked taurus, 1 unmarked crown, 2 expeditions and a CSI van. WOW my town is a police state drive after 12 oclock and your getting pulled over for whatever they can think of. Hey sweet badge and A gun, you know what you need a car that you in no way deserve.
