Note: After compiling this post I learned a lot about Emo culture. I realized that Emo’s are not only sad, depressed, insecure people, but they are also hard workers; they work their flat-asses off to achieve such ridiculousness. And they love taking pictures of themselves. That is all.

I live in Albury in NSW Australia and I swear most of these people live in my town. One of the girls in these pictures is wearing a shirt of a local band from here (who funnily enough are straight up death metal band and HATE the emo/hardcore scene).
When I was around 15 and 16 I had a lot of friends who looked exactly like this. There really is nothing different about them other than the odd hair styles, clothes and facial piercings. Not that any of you care… but I felt like sharing.
Im glad they finally found a name for that awkward pubescent period of a young teens life…Emo seems right…it may also fit children who go through those terrible 2′s….

People who are emo, are emo for a reason. Although some may be posers and just in it to be in the crowd (which there are for EVERY group of people), don’t ever assume that all of us are like that. Some of us actually DO have a reason to complain, and have never spoken a word to someone else about it. I for one dress and look the way I do because it is the ONE thing in my life that I can control. Forgive me if it’s asking too much, but I would like to walk outside my own front door without everyone assuming “Oh, she must be a selfish bitch!”, because I’m not. Unless you have had your father beat you, your older brother rape you, and your mom lie about it to the police, don’t fucking judge me for how I live my life. I have 3 jobs, and am supporting my 8 year old brother while my dad goes out to drink all day. I am only 19 years old, so don’t you dare tell me that we are self-centered and have no reason to complain. On behalf of all emo/scene people out there; fuck you.
