The crown viewing tower has been closed to the general public since 9-11 and is reopening its doors this 4th of July!
Note: If you are the owner of any of these photos, please let us know so we can link to your site and portfolio to give you credit. I found these on a Russian website that did not source the photographer. Thanks!

What an amazing acomplishment to successfully build something of that scale. Even more amazing for it’s time period.
Wow. I’ve never been to New York…yet. When that day comes, a tour of her will be taken by me & our children. Thank you.

It’s cool to look at from the outside, and the view from the crown is neat, but it’s kinda scary to go inside, actually. When you’re climbing the stairs, they’re so steep that you’re nose-to-ass with the person in front of you, and if you look out around you, there’s light shining in through the skin where there’s rivets missing that hold the skin to the framework.
The view from the crown is worth it, yeah … but it’s still a little nerve wracking to go up.
