the “Jew’s ear” is actually a specific edible fungus that grows on trees can be cooked in all kinds of dishes or dried and flavored and made into a snack. I remember a previous post of the same thing but it was a package of colorful “things” that was labled “Jew’s ears” as well. It’s just another case of lost in translation or whatever.
