That particular one, at least. I’ve had my Monroe, other areas, bellybutton, cheek, nose, both tragus’, snake bites, cheekbone, but never tongue or eyebrow.

I just want my industral and i want my bellybutton peirced again. I love peircings. I also dont see a problem with lip peircings. just people like them. I want my monroe done because well that is my last name. =)

Not weird at all. I’ve seen some corset ones…oh my god they look crazy painful but it’s all about expressing individuality. I choose to do that in the way I live my life & an occasional hidden tattoo. Life’s short. As long as no one gets hurt…live & let the love flow.

These really aren’t all that strange, or creepy… or maybe I’m just over-exposed to these types of things.

The hand piercings aren’t too intelligent. They’re not likely to heal due to the constant use your hands get during the day.

Oh, and in response to ‘ifearnoman’– I have a lip piercing and stretched lobes and I have *gasp* a real job. I’m even a manager. We do professional embroidery, particularly sports team uniforms. While at this job I’ve had a variety of facial piercings> nose ring, eyebrow ring (a couple) and I even had both sides of my lip pierced previously. I guess it all depends on where you work, but seriously… my job/career is “real”. It’s well paying and doesn’t appear to be disappearing anytime soon like so many other “real” jobs these days.

Right! Piercings are not synonymous with trash. There are trashy people with piercings. I’ve had all mine while working at the shipyard, and most of my co-workers have them, too. It’s a running joke here that you can tell who has been hazed into their shop by new piercings. I’d like to see any clean-cut office worker get as sweaty and gross as we do during the work day.

Congrats on being pierced, sweaty AND proud. That’s quite a combination. I don’t have a problem with any of them, just find myself asking “Why?” Individuality for the sake of individuality seems a bit…struggling to find the words? What is a Monroe, by the way?

Yeah, individuality for the sake of it is more or less a good way of trying to fit into a certain crowd whilst claiming you’re a unique snowflake. I do things because I want to. Not to gain acceptance.

A Monroe is a piercing on the upper lip, off centered on the left or right side. Imagine the piercing on #15, just above the upper lip instead of the lower.

I’ll never understand why anyone would want to pierce the area between your eyes…nothing like putting a virtual magnet there to constantly draw your own vision into going cross-eyed

and i don’t really understand the why there are so many negative comments, if you dont like to look at them why go out of your way to. that just seems stupid to me… and ‘pierced, sweaty and proud’ i am pierced but im not sweaty or gross. it is just a form of self expression the same as art, but in a different form.

Hi there Danielle… Think the point is, that the people in the above pics, look like they are going out of their way to be “noticed”, Like seeing a clown in the street, or a woman with pink hair walking her pink poodle, or a woman in a bikini…. You too would look at them. We “normal” people, read non pierced, non tattooed, non funny haircuts, non “alternative” clothing wearing, we look at others that are not, to us, “normal”… There is nothing wrong with the people in the examples I have given, but I bet you would look at them.. it’s only weird if you don’t do it. If you want to have more holes put in your body, fine, it’s yours to do with as you please.. But.. we “others” will look at you. Most of the people in the photo’s above,as I have said, look, to me, that they have done what they have, so that people will look at them.. If you don’t want to be looked at, don’t do it, if you do, go for it… I personally think that to look like so many other people is hard to justify as “self expression”, it has become almost a uniform, think about your friends, or the concerts, or clubs that you go to… Life is here to be enjoyed as best as we all can.

i think these piercings are pretty cool i have had almost every thing done above the neck and got a few tats too and im only 23 years old i enjoy the ones i have because they are a part of me and will always be a part of me my grandma even had a tattoo it was beautiful. i have a “normal” life and job and married to a wonderful man that dont have anything no tats no piercings he wants a couple tho. i converted him lol! there is nothing wrong with any of this people get them because they feel as tho they like the attention or just because its an extention of them which is my case i dont like to be looked at and i only keep the ones that fit with me. life is short live it the way you want to instead of listening to pig headed people like the ones that have posted on this wall.

I totally agree. I have my belly button, eyebrow, lobe and cartilage pierced at the moment, Im getting a tattoo soon and my industrial, lobe (next to the first, duh) and daith pierced. And I’m 16. I think piercings and tattoos have to be a passion, well In my opinion. I love them, and the pain that comes with it, people that just want it done to impress others… They probably won’t even go through with it, and if they do they’ll whine about it, me.. I don’t get why people find it any different to pierce your eyebrow to piercing your ear, there both just holes. LOOKS DON’T MATTER!! My parents hate them, but whatever, I don’t care, if they love me they will accept me for who Iam and How Iam. Picking on people with piercings, people that express themselves, is just as bad as being rasist. Think about it, your doing the same thing, grouping up on people for how they are, whatever happened to the saying ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all!.
