I, for one, think it’s very unique. It’s not meant to serve a purpose, it’s just for looks and for people to oogle at. I’ve got a number of tats and piercings, but i would never get a surface piercing or a piercing as deep as that. For one, it would get caught on everything and be a complete pain, and two, a piercing such as that will never fully heal, so he will have to be careful not to get it infected or anything.

I wouldn’t say the idea of what he’s done is retarded, maybe not the best idea for the reasons Jessiebear stated, but not retarded, that’s just a very ignorant, close minded way to put it. And it’s also not appropriate to compare a surface piercing to someone chainsawing their arm off. Nice try with the exaggeration but that ain’t gonna cut it (pun intended). There is a fine line between modification and mutilation, a piercing is a mod, cutting your arm off is mutilation, any form of which I wouldn’t condone.
