NO. NO. NO. NO. NO…!
Please… how the intercourse can anybody pay that much for a place to live, let alone have that much money to spend…?
Not fair, not fair, not fair, not fair, adopt me you bastards…!
Sorry if I sound jealous and bitter, it’s only because I am jealous and bitter…!
Perhaps you shouldn’t be commenting on a photo blog and figuring out a way to work smart and hard. It’s that simple. Grind your teeth and get to work. You’ll have your palace someday.
75 million, 100 million, more….
Guess you are saying if I stop looking at The Chive, I too can have that sort of money…
Fuck, if only I had known it was that easy..
Thank you…. I’m going to start amassing my fortune a soon as I finish typing…
Now then, where do I start….?
Mmm… any clues, anybody…
I take your point though, I/we will never have it just thinking about it…
We have to steal it from somebody…!
But, seriously yes you do have to go out there and see what you can do. No use in getting jealous of someone else’s success, and not doing anything for yourself.
As far as ideas go, the idea doesn’t have to be terribly original either. A “quality” products/service is key to earning a large sum of money. Look at the Chive. Not a totally original idea, but the “usefullness” of this site keeps us Chivers coming back. You just gotta find your niche and monetize it somehow.
Yes …thank you, still bitter and jealous but… Think my idea of stealing the money is the quickest though. From what I have seen/read, a lot of very expensive houses, in America and around the world, particularly if they have been built/bought in the last 5 – 10 years have been paid for with ill gotten gains. Stolen, one way or another.
Now on another matter… as you seem to be a sensible and rational person, what are you doing here typing comments..? Seriously though, can you explain to this foreign person,
why there is such a controversy/fight/brawl/riot over the medical bill? Is it the same system that Mrs. Clinton wanted.. ? From over here it just seems that the poor can now get medical treatment. I know there has to be a lot more to it than that though, otherwise the fuss seems silly… If you respond, can you keep it non political, non personality. Anyone else that has a RATIONAL opinion, please feel free to jump in.
So do you have 20 other families living with you? No no, just me, my wife and my son. If some disaster happens are you going to let people come and stay here? Hell no, I don’t want those people in my house. Then why do you need such a big house? Well I need a place to keep all of my other expensive stuff.
If you got that kind of money, why not? Me, I wouldn’t buy something like that even if I had the money, why? because it don’t take that much to make me happy, I’ve learned to enjoy the simple things in life, an old mutt, a good woman and thou. SPEND IT IF YOU GOT IT!! cause if you don’t, somebody else will. Oh and aw, nice houses by the way.
Ya know…some of these places don’t really look like they could bring that much coin.
I mean # 3 looks liike its right out of my subdivision. $100 mil? Must be a lot more that I don’t see.
Aaron Spelling’s Beverly Hills, 123 BR, 56000 Sq. ft. estate is on the market for a mere $150M. I don’t think they’d even let me in for the open house.
If I had that kind of money, I would surely don’t spend it in a huge house. I mean, 80000 sq ft?? I would have a dozen friends crashing at any given time.
[...] For today’s photo gallery, we encourage you to break the 9th commandment (or something like that). Feel free to covet thy neighbour’s $100 million house. Don’t covet that property tax bill, though. (The Chive) [...]

Is picture #10 the mansion from Godfather? It looks a lot like it.
#9 FTW
former pad of vlad the impaler…hell yeah!
That makes it ‘Castle Dracula’ right?.
Yo the picture of #7 isn’t Prince Bandar’s Hala Ranch, for the record.
Re-Sale value?

Meh…. I’d take 10K acres of land over these any day of the week. I dont need a house that big to live in, just plenty of land to roam.
Where is he Biltmore Estate on this list? Largest private residence in the U.S. and is worth more than a billion dollars…
And when you die…

I’ve got $5 on 7, anyone in with me?
I would only care to live in 5, 7, and 9. The rest don’t even look really good.
