Illegal in the US, these things lay on average 1,000 eggs three times a year and are considered a threat to agriculture but they are cool looking. Guess that they’re legal in the UK but it seems to be a dying fad pet there with most not able to give away the eggs or even the snails.

Snails are so cute. I’d totally keep a tank of a buncha those little half-inch ones as pets, or even one of these huge ones. That’d be awesome.

Imagine being barefoot and slipping on one of these like a cartoon banana peel.. BECAUSE I DID, and It may have been the single most nauseating moment of my life. I was studying in Kenya Africa, and they have slugs ( I think) as big as these, but they don’t have a shell.. And maybe it’s self created horror but they seem slimier. I slipped and fell flat on my back after stepping on one… scarred for life.. But actually seeing photos- they are kind of cute!
