Yes, believe it or not this is a real taxi cab. The Quaranta concept taxi was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. Equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 electric motor and supplemented by solar panels. It is billed at the time as the world’s fastest hybrid, and is said to be capable of shuttling its occupants – or paying fare, in this case – to sixty in 4.2 seconds.

first!!!! Yay insomnia!
First to eat a dick.
Who would want to be in a taxi where you’re right next to a stranger. I’d rather walk.
This car looks like a mouse…
Is it too much to as that taxis be yellow? this way I know you are marketing this as a fuel efficent taxi as opposed to a typical “green” energy douchmobile for hippies that enjoy modern styling.
That’s one hell of an expensive taxi ride…. No thanks I’ll walk…
I made that design in 8th grade wood shop.
Now this is a taxi car worth robbing.
I would love to own one, I don’t think I would use it as a taxi though. They’d probably take my taxi drivers card for that, hell I’d give it to them. But then, If you can afford one of these things why would you drive a taxi? Taxies in Italy are independent, most of em.
its so crazy to believe this thing can go from 0-60 in only 4.2 seconds on a v6 because electric motors have so much more torque than gas motors.
sorry correction: its NOT so crazy to believe.
am i the only one who thinks the CGi images make it look hideous…? real life images are awesome
