Love Apple or Hate Apple (which you do obviously), if a company really made shitty products, it wouldn’t be in business long, yet Apple has remained one of the largest companies in the world for 20+ years. Guess a lot of people enjoy paying for shitty products, right?

of course people enjoy shitty products. just look at Dells and toyotas. Just look at the shopping network!! And Apple had a LONG line of terribly shitty things that they tried to cram down our throats be4 they got something right: be4 the ipod they made the famously shitty ROKR, the Apple Puck Mouse, Apple Newton, Apple Lisa, the Macintosh Portable, Macintosh TV, 20th Anniversary Macintosh, Apple Pippin, Apple EWorld, Apple Taligent, Apple Cyberdog… people LOVE shitty things

I don’t really watch kids movies, but you have to admire what Pixar did. Plus, they spend 2 and a hlaf years working on a story before really working heavily on animation. If more production houses did this, we wouldn’t have to suffer through most Michael Bay movies and a downpour of shitty remakes.

I don’t consider Pixar movies kids movies. Seriously, how embarrassing to Hollywood is it when a cartoon about talking toys with a number 3 in the title of the movie has more depth and genuine heartfelt emotion than most movies made for “adults”?

Why do so many pixar movies usually have a single parent? Same goes for most Disney movies.

Whether it’s one or both parents missing ‘orphans’ make interesting protagonists.
Look at Frodo, Harry Potter, any of the disney princesses, Luke Skywalker, etc…
Chances are, if you have been bored by a leading character, he or she has a normal family…

Actually, Steve Jobs did not create Pixar. It was sold to him by George Lucas for approx $100K, and that covered mostly the hardware and Renderman. It was back in 1986 or 87. George didn’t ( and still doesn’t) need the money and was not interested in pushing it.

2. are enjoyable by adults
