Transformers 3 is shooting/wrecking shop in downtown Chicago. My girlfriend, Tiffany, and I thought it would be fun to see how close we could get to the action and snap some photos. We adopted the "act as if" attitude and walked right up to the barricades blocking the crowd, moved them out of the way, told the security guard, "Excuse me" and continued right onto the set. We figured if anyone asked, we would tell them we were Shia LeBeauf's cousin. No one asked..
The badass camera I used for these photos is the new Olympus PEN E-PL1.
SORRY: My apologies for not including any photos of Rosie Huntington-Whitley, but this hot gallery will satiate your appetite.

That is not being on the set, so good try. I hate liers You had a really good camera and was where everyone was walking. The pics how ever came out really good.

WOW! That is f'ing awesome! That camera is amazing! We live in the Chicago suburbs, and haven't made the trek down there (I think they might be done filiming here now anyway) but I've heard they were absolutely not allowing photos to be taken- you are so lucky! I don't know why they don't allow photos, seeing these makes me even more excited to see the movie!

The shots of the "Pursuit Crane" are funny (#3,4,5). We can imagine Michael Bay has about 20 of these things zipping up and down the set doing close-ups at 100mph.

wow!!! you've taken freakin great pictures!!! i cant believe u got on the set with no one knowing!!! i couldnt even stand on the fricken sidewalk w/out a security person telling me to move! and not only that, but u played with the props!!! im jealous here!!
