    #1 – was he/she blowin Papa Smurf??

  • Nagrom

The parents of these kids have only their selves to blame. Not watching what they're doing, or not puttiong things like paint out of their reach.

Never had any problems like this with my two year old.

    • Battle Angel

Give it sometime. Those little bastards never leave until in their 20's…

      • Jen

you're joking, right? you must keep your kid in a bubble.

    • Rob

    • DaddyD

If your child is a girl, I'll bet she is pregnant by the time she is 16.

If your child is a boy, I'll bet he is supplying his high school with drugs by the middle of his sophomore year.

Relax. Two year olds are to be enjoyed.

    • Judgment

It's easy with one – get two or more and then you have your hands full. One minute you are helping one go to the bathroom and the other takes the crayon to the wall…

      • Dena

Two is nothing…..wait til they are 4….

    • Mike

One 2 year old and you are willing to start blaming the parents for not watching the kids. It's easy with one kid if there are two parents it is still two on one, when you have two it is still man to man, but wait until your out numbered. It is hard to watch everything when your playing Zone Defence. and at 2 years old they are still easy

I don't need kids, I've got nieces and nephews to teach this stuff to. Fun Uncle is getting even for being locked in the closet.

    • PiratesFan

Nobody puts fun uncle in the corner.

    • The Dude

Hey no worries it's the 21 century now you can come out of the closet.

Here are 22 reasons that dumb asses have kids.

    • ashley

were you never a silly kid?

    • Brandon

You can't keep an eye on your children all the time, It is impossible. These types of thing happen all time and i suppose most of the inquirers of this page are looking for help in the query of, "children not making messes", but instead you get pics of children making messes and childless morons who feethat at any invoking moment they should put their input in and then this happens… don't be trollin' B)

    condoms ….checked :)

I can relate to #4. We got home one night after a 14 hour drive. Put our son to bed. It was about 11pm and he was 2 years old at the time. My wife and I closed our bedroom door and, well, you know. Opened it back up later and low-and-behold, someone decided to draw on the the wall, in crayon, in the hallway. Actually caught him in the act. All I could do was smile. It's part of the joy of parenting.

    • melinda

you had the energy for sex after a 14 hour drive? Uggg…that made me sound old :(

    • northerner

Yep. Comes with the territory. You can't leave kids unattended. You MUST kid-proof just about everything they can POSSIBLY get into, even if you have to nail it shut or nail it to the ceiling. You just do it. These parents missed it and paid the price. No, when things are concerned, nothing is guaranteed. Except fun, frivolity and…accidents/mischief.

#1 — Smurfberries, what more can you say?

  • DaddyD

This is why WOMEN don't want kids. Any male worth his testosterone will be down on his hands and knees decorating the wall or the back of the couch with his kids. How is a kid supposed to learn that plastic melts if they don't bake an occasional toy in the oven? How is a young girl supposed to learn that natural is beautiful if she doesn't have a picture of herself tarted up with mom's make-up?

Real parents let their kids be kids.

    • Sam Adams

  • floscar

Man apparently I am blessed that my 3 year old has never made a mess that large.

  • Mike

I love how people with out kids are so willing to judge the parenting skills of those with kids like they have any clue what it is like to raise a child. When my two oldest kids where 3 and 2 we went on a trip and had to spend the day in the airport. I bought a backpack that looked like a bear and had a leash for my 3 year old. All of the people that had not had kids looked at me like the devl, all of them that had had kids thought that it was the greatest idea in the world.

    • smack

With 2 kids of my own I definitely understand the desire to occasionally place some sort of control device on them. Especially with more than one young child as the math is not a direct proportionality: each successive kid makes the overall parenting situation exponentially more difficult.

That being said, I still get a chill in my spine when I see a kid on leash. Control is not supposed to come from external devices, it should be internal. Isn't that the job of parents, to ensure that the next generation is guided by logic, morality and experience as opposed to some sort of external stimuli?

    • Mike

I understand what you are saying but when i am in an busy airport it is not about me having control of what my child does, it is more understanding that there are people who would like nothing more than to do something to my child. That is what gives me chills, I spent 3 years as a Corrections Officer and these people are very real.
My first job as a parent is to ensure the survival of my child. Then comes everything else.

Is the author of this article going to give credit to Sh*t My Kids Ruined, where all the pictures were taken from?

    • Sam Adams

Article? it is a photo blog designed to capture the best of the web for everyone in one place. This prevents your having to troll through the lame stuff by concentrating it. Think if it as distilled awesome.

      • R U Kidding??

Yes, but a decent person and website credit the site from which the stuff was stolen.

    • Dave

this is more, 22 reasons to toddler-proof your home..but even if you DO toddler -proof.. kids will find something and make a mess anyways..its just one of the things kids are good at ( and it gives the parents the opportunity to get embarrassing photos of the child in the act… which they can then show to whatever friends the child brings home as revenge in their teen/young adult years as a playful form of revenge)

  • artist's mom

Your children never made a horrible mess? They were never unsupervised? They never did anything you didn't want them to? Shame on you!

#19 – I cried the day we hung my 52" Sharp Aquos on the wall, and cleaned up all of the accumulated tiny fingerprints from its surface. It was a joy to get that TV out of reach, finally!! Yep, kids blow up your house. Mine has created huge messes, as well. It's simply part adn parcel of having kids. They do things, in an instant. Man, they sure can be fast little buggers.
