  • Edward

It breaks my heart to think about how good all of this was, and how it'll never be as good again.

  • Bill

Oh man, so much awesomeness. #4 and 7 were the best games ever!

  • mattythegooch

I used to slip my N.W.A "straight Outta Compton" tape into my cousins Teddy Ruxpin and watch my Aunt lose her shit!

OMG OMG OMG. For the past few days I've been trying to remember the title of that book! I'm going out to pay for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark today. Those things gave me nightmares.

  • Will

    Best post ever.

  • @100window

MOUSE TRAP. I got that for chirstmas one year and within that year I lost half the pieces.

  • MPMoore

Teddy Ruxpin still creeps me out.
I remember as a child staring into his soulless eyes as he turned his head and blinked, saying his name in a slow, drawn out, deep voice because the batteries were dying.

    Great, time for more nightmares.

    • Kjellupa

Still scares the shit out of me too.

  • jmts80

OMG Batman cereal was the greatest cereal ever! I would kill for a box!

I didn't grow up in the 80's, but yet I know and have so many of these. 7, 9, 20, 26, 36, just to list a few of my favorites. And 40 is still the same…well 4 years ago.

  • Penelope

    Those were the days!

#17: The Coreys from The Lost Boys." As it turns out, they were pretty lost.

Lite-Brite is from the early 70s. I had one…and actually used it quite a bit!

The Snakes were "starter" fireworks. I think my parents sent me outside with those and as pack of matches when I was 3 years old. I think they may have sent me out into the street with them…

#37: "Sit N' Spin" Toy turned insult.

#41: lifting comics with silly putty. Try that with your XBox younglings!

  • HeartUnderTheRose

Dinosaurs was the shit! I still miss being able to read, what was it, 5?, books and get a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Made being a lonely child with nothing better to do but read somewhat worth it.

    • PlainOldMe

If you weren't a lonely child, then you might not have grown into the woman you are today. Which, form what I can tell, seems to be quite alright.

But on a lighter note, free pizza made my lonely childhood worth it, too!!!

      • PlainOldMe

it helps to spell correctly when you try to pay compliments… sorry!

        • HeartUnderTheRose

It's perfectly alright. I make typos all the time. It's what I get for typing too fast and not proofing afterwards. Oh, and thank you. 🙂
