Is it the same person posting with a different name each time, or a different person posting it once before realizing how much of a douche they are?

If it's copyrighted material, REPORT IT. If it's not, no one cares. A lot of people choose not to go to site after site after site to make sure they catch all the latest reposts from around the web. You're telling me no one's ever taken an original picture (say, of the staff, or user submitted photos for example) from the chive and reposted it somewhere else? If they did, the chive wouldn't care.

First off, to be technical, you forgot the starting "rant". LOL.

Anyway, it's not that theChive takes pictures from other sites but when they take complete pic posts from other sites, remove a bunch of good pics and add in a couple of different ones and call it their own, that is what I have an issue with. That is lazy and theChive has never posted their source when it comes from Izismile because they know they've blatantly copied and pasted it (with minor modifications). Lazy, lazy, lazy….

If this was a politics site, or a news site, or some type of journalism-based organization, fine.

It's a site compiled of crap from around the internet with the intention of laughter, wtf'ing, fapping, or some other miscellaneous reaction. It's a one stop spot for those of us who choose to come here. We're really ok with however lazy thechive wants to be. It really doesn't bother us when it's a site meant for such simplistic enjoyment. That's thechive's niche and they do it well. We appreciate when they add original content, and shrug it off when it's something we've seen before.

We're not on a crusade to make the interwebs better here.

Well, we should be rather than have this lazy ass excuse of a website. There are a few posts today that they completely ripped off as well, with NO reference to the original source. That is called plagiarism. I haven't seen very much original content here, if any at all. They constantly pull posts from reddit and Izismile (among other sites).

Like today's Star Wars Lego post. A watered down version of the 101 pics posted over at Izismile. And guess what, no reference to the original source. Izismile is a much better (and bigger) site but doesn't appeal to the people here because they don't frequently post pics of scantily clad women all of the time. If I want to see pics of scantily clad women I'll go over to Maxim or some other better site.

I guess I shouldn't expect originality from theChive, how can you expect originality when they rip off their website name from another website, TheOnion? A bunch of lazy hacks.

Do you work for theChive and are speaking for the collective "we" of your co-workers? Or are you basically saying that everyone who comes to this site doesn't care? That is a pretty large assumption. You didn't even reply to the fact that Izismile is not a French site. You just say that "we" don't like it. What difference does it make? The images aren't copyrighted, they don't belong to anyone, anyone can post them. I could echo them on my own site if I wanted to do such a thing, and no one would be able to stop me. Yet YOU – you feel compelled to create a response to every post on TheChive that what they have posted is exactly the same as some post on the other site. Again, if you love this other site so much, why do you keep coming here and saying over and over and over again that such and such post is copied from there? And as for my collective "we," I mean "we" as in myself and anyone else who has chosen to respond to you, all of whom have said essentially what I am saying: We don't care and why do you? What difference does it make? And that'd be all for me, if you think I'm going to start some asinine flamewar on a site that reposts pictures of women in panties you're sorely mistaken.
