Don't get me wrong, he's made some great movies. I'm afraid he's been somewhat typecast, though. He really only has two characters. First, there's Ted, from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) who is a somewhat clueless, confused looking dude caught in a strange situation, as seen again in many movies such as The Matrix (1999) and Speed (1994). His only real other dramatic role is Ted, from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey (1991), and later again in movies like The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and Constantine (2005).
