I don't get this. He was in Donkey Kong which was released in '81, as an arcade game, so why are they only saying Mario's been part of the family since '85.
well to be fair, in donkey kong he was called jumpman,
he was called "mario" the first time in the next arcade game DK II, i think. but it wasn't his game, the 1983 was the first "Mario Bros" game but it was for arcade, 1985 was the first NES' Super Mario Bros.
This was great, made me very nostalgic. Forgot Mario RPG, and the Mario Land series, as well as a billion others, but I feel Mario RPG and the Mario Land series, at the last the first two, should have been included. Still awesome….I am the same age as Mario…I grew up on this dago wap guinea bastard and I love him still.
