A post of a road…wait a minute..(7 Photos)

This is a waterway in Louisiana, and by the looks of it I’d say avoid the brisk swim at all costs. And don’t eat the fish.

        • P-90

How am I a moron, BP didn't own or even run the rig.

          • P-90

Sorry I meant how is 'he' a moron, I agree with 'The Knowledge' he is correct, I must have subconsciously taken your insult personally.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001225731219 HellHath NoFury

No, all that oil in the water could not possibly be from the epic oil spill in the Gulf, situated right below Louisiana, which is about 30% below sea level and soaking up the mess like a giant sponge. Of course not, that's just ludicrous.

        • joe

          No…this is Ludacris:

"move bitch get out the way, get out the way bitch get out the way!!"

Stay the fuck up out my biz-nass my biz-nass.

      • MiPo1977

No the fact that the Deepwater Horizon rig was legally under lease to BP they had nothing to do with it…Or the fact that platform workers voiced concerns 2 months prior to the explosion and there concerns were disregarded. Now 11 workers are dead and countless forms of marine mammals and other sea life are now dead but this has nothing to do with BP. And due to the minutia and deep layers of management hierarchy the true people who should face justice never will……..Hey, collateral damage as long as our gas tanks and oil tanks are full though right…..

        • Kelly

Goddamn USA and their 40% stake in BP.

          • Shane

kelly, Get out of America you dumb cunt. you should think before you go adding comments to things you have no clue about.

            • MiPo1977

              Pot calling the kettle black?!?!?!

            • DixonOrmus

why the fuck would u assume she lives in the states, fucktard Shane?

    • Shane

Yeah, it was all BPs fault, not the environmentalist assholes who forced them into 5000 foot deep water. If this where they wanted to drill that would have been fixed in a week. Anyone who blames BP is an idiot.

      • MiPo1977

And was it the environmentalist assholes who leased the rig?? Where they the ones responsible for the drilling, safety of the employees, etc?

        • Shane

Well genius, we need oil, so all those shiny new cars can get around. So as an OIL company, they need to get…wait for it… OIL! I know that it's a man made evil, this black nasty oil, no wait, it's natural, but still, yeah, it's all Americas fault. I can see how a deranged lunatic would leap to that conclusion without any pertinent information, or… what are those called again.. no wait… don't tell me… oh yeah, facts.

        • Steve from the UK

I don't really understand a lot of this so feel free to correct me and i'm not trying to defend anyone but why is it BP's fault? If I rent a car and the engine fails its not my fault. I don't own or maintain the car. BP didn't own or operate the rig, the BOP failed BP did not design, manufacture or have the responsability to maintian the BOP.

  • Homesteader

    Holy hell!

  • chrisdg74

Thank you BP, for ruining the Gulf Coast. I'm giving you the finger. Guess which one.

    • The Knowledge

BP had nothing to do with the spill.

      • chrisdg74

        You must work for BP.
That, or you actually believed BP's "report" that blamed everyone except BP.

        • The Knowledge

Yeah how dare BP blame the owners of the rig or the company that actually operated it, what silly's they are. (Was that sarcasm?, yes, yes it was)

      • McBeastie

Sure they didn't BP spokesman. Is your screen name supposed to be ironic?

        • nathan

I think what he means is that it was an accident, and thats not really BPs fault. it is however their fault (big fuckin time) that they took their sweet ass time with the problem and that it took months and months to plug the bitch… so thank you BP for ruining the gulf coast

          • chrisdg74

Nevermind the fact that BP ordered all kinds of shortcuts to be taken, safety be damned, including the day of the explosion.

            • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001225731219 HellHath NoFury

    • The Real D. Nozzle

It was the kool aid, not the oil.

"Fish kills are fairly common along the Gulf Coast, particularly during the summer in the area near the mouth of the Mississippi, the site of this kill. The area is rife with dead zones — stretches where sudden oxygen depletion can cause widespread death. But those kills tend to be limited to a single species of fish, rather than the broad sort of die-off involved in this kill."

    • AnyoneForCoffee

More: "Dead zones are increasingly common in the world's oceans. But they're particularly so off Louisiana, because nutrient-rich water and sediment from the nation's agricultural runoff travels downriver and is dumped into the Gulf. Various species of single-celled plantlike organisms flourish in waters enriched with chemical nutrients — organisms that go on to vastly deplete the oxygen in the water they inhabit.

Many scientists have feared that an influx of oil-eating microbes would lead to more Gulf Coast dead zones, since the microbes use large amounts of oxygen when they consume the oil particles produced by chemical dispersants."

      • AnyoneForCoffee

And more: "UPDATE: The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries investigated this fish kill and determined that it was the result of low oxygen levels caused by low tides and high temperatures."

  • Jonathan

That must smell like LiLo or Paris Hilton.

I want to see Tits not Fish!…

    maybe they're all just sleeping?

"Ms Watkins said low tide trapped fish in less than two feet of water. She added that hot water held less oxygen than cold, and heat also raised the metabolism – so plants and animals needed more oxygen to survive.

She said the area where the fish were found is bordered on one side by a rock dam, and a shallow outlet to the Gulf of Mexico on the other.

'When the tide is low, it becomes a pool,' she said."

  • Spiderpig615

Guess it's too late for Godzilla to eat this since the fish are decomposing.

  • BongPimper

    F*ck You BP!!!!!!
