Could have been an insurance torch job. They might have spent ridiculous money to build it and then found they couldn't pay the monthly note. It's happening alot in this economy. (They almost always get caught BTW)

there's quite a bit of equipment missing that a fire wouldnt completely destroy that makes the vehicle impossible to move except by tow truck. no radiator, no steering column,

Most radiators have plastic tanks and either copper or alluminum cores, which would end up as a pile of goo underneath the ashes. My guess is the steering column went up in flames too since that is mostly plastic, or if it was a custom one made of alloy, it is also a pile of goo under the ashes.

radiator is there,albeit melted, but you can still see a bit of it. there is no steering column in this truck, but there is a steering linkage visible between the brake booster and the block. all is accounted for
