can he get me a date with her please ..

  • vince

This is what happens when stations pay no-talent word readers more than the tech-crew. Back doors are left open…glitches, bugs…. oops! Did that camera feed go out AGAIN?

  • MoD

Ok what's the value of this post? If it was real – then yes it's a great showcase of someone's hacking skills taken out straight from Die Hard 4 movie (you know, the one that tries to make you believe that everything from a toaster to a parking meter can be hacked – remotely!), but it's fake – in this case it's just wasted 2 minutes.

    that is pure win! hahahaha

    *** BUBBLE BURST***

I work in TV news, no, seriously, I do… and this isn't possible to pull off. First of all, prompters are run off of an internal operating system and controlled by a human hand. No external override like this would work. Not to mention the fact that the anchors blew the cover off the fake by reading punctuation marks out loud. There are a lot of dumb ones out there, but those THAT dumb don't have "millions of viewers"

    • Chris

I think you should stick to working with TV news and not computers. If you refering to "internal operating system" as a work station not connected a network/internet then yes your right it can't be hacked. If your refering to internal OS as Virtual then yes it is vulnerable to attacks, a network that is utilizing a demilitaried zone then yes it is vulnerable to attacks. If it has connected to a network it doesn't really matter that has "no external override" it still can be attacked through means of privilege escalation through exploits ect.

  • Coldzilla

    Sure – hack and post.

Good thing he lives in the Netherlands

  • Ukenny

it was an internet commercial stunt for IT study. Ran a year? ago.
Also a movie where the same guy "hacks"into the traffic signs and alters the text.

    (first a dutch commercial)

(I'm dutch, was in the news ;)) still great to hear the pranks still work

  • Woox
