That looks awesome. Something to add to my bucket list.

Man I wish I hadn't blown my sinuses out.
    Or gotten fat.

    • dainz303

The dive master at Sandals in the Bahamas was like 300lbs. But the sinus thing is bad.

    A claustrophobic's nightmare.

Something to add to the list of things I won't ever do…….but get to vicariously experience on the chive!

I can't even look at these without feeling short of breath. Same thing happens with underwater scenes in films.

    I can't wait!

The Navy RARELY dives in water this nice, unless you're in Guam.

What are you on about? I'm not in the Navy, bro. I'm a welder, and I'm headed to Oahu.

Some of these are the Bahama's Blue Holes, covered in a recent National Geographic. The article is awesome; if you get a chance I highly suggest reading it.

Back to this: I think it was the August issue. Google "blue holes bahamas", there are way gnarlier photos.

  • Catence

Beautiful. And also terrifying. Thank goodness I can just enjoy them here on the Chive.

Interesting statement, seeing as how the same thing can be said about your picture, minus the whole terrifying thing, because you know motorboating is anything but terrifying

    wow…simply beautiful <3

    google "Cenotes", mucho pretties

    • pekito

A beautifull sight indeed! but i've always wondered if you can find… I dunno… corpses down there

  • Omicron

I'm a cave diver – have even been in some of the caves in these photos. Feel free to ask anything.

It is an amazingly beautiful activity. Peaceful, serene. The amount of training and planning that goes into successfully cave diving is staggering though. I've been lucky enough to dive caves in the Midwestern US, Florida, Missouri, Cozumel and mainland Mexico.

If you ever get the change to experience it I highly recommend it. You can go on guided CAVERN dives in several locations in the world. These are safe. But DO NOT EVER go on an actual cave dive unless you are trained. The survival rate for none trained cave divers inside of caves is virtually zero.

  • Omicron

Scratch that. Looking closer at the photos I thought I recognized they are not the cave i was thinking of. Still… been in quite a few others :)

One of batman's secret entrance to the batcave

  • MMAN87

Wow what stunnung photography here! Feels like a National Geographic pictorial…but man, one hairline fracture in a rock and it can turn terrifying in a heartbeat!:o

  • Bongwater

Is there a law that says every photo of an underwater cave has to have a diver in it? Seriously, was trying to find pics without divers in – there are none.

  • The Bahamas

Hello, Neat post. There’s an issue along with your website in web explorer, might check this? IE still is the market leader and a big element of other people will omit your excellent writing because of this problem.

Ever explored the clear blue lake at the back end of Bridal Cave north of Camdneton, MO/ I've often wondered if it's just there of if it extends to anywhere that we can't see from above.
