Mirror cube treehouse hotel in Sweden is…well, bats%^* crazy (13 Photos)

This hotel in Sweden is made of light-weight aluminum which hangs around the base of a tree. The exterior reflects the surroundings and the sky, which creates a camouflaged refuge
while the interior is all made of plywood and windows that give off a 360 degree view
. The mirrorcube can accommodate two people and includes: a large bed, a small kitchenette and bath, a living room and roof terrace. But perhaps the most brilliant part is that to prevent birds from flying into the cube an infrared film, visible only to birds, is laminated into the glass panes. The cost for one person per night is just over 400 dollars.

It would be like living in an invisible Ikea showroom!

it was funny the same way lol

I have tried that film on my ridiculously over-sized windows. Birds used to fly into them all the time. After I installed that ridiculously over-priced film…birds fly into them all the time.

        • TANGO

Angry birds – that's funny! Great AP

          • cousin eddie

I work in a building that has windows with that film on them. I walk into them all the time :/

  • BigDingo

That's actually a pretty decent price for a nightly stay all things considered… of course I would have to get over my compulsive need to through rocks first.

    • RGH

      …if you don't mind sleeping in a high-art box.

  • Samen

    First of all !!!

  • Vince

Sorry, but I don't believe that just because you label something "Art", prevents us from labeling it a colossal waste of time, effort, and money. I personally put this under: "Unique ideas that shouldn't have left the conceptual stage".

    • PhJ

I'm glad most people aren't like you, the world would be a very boring place.

    • Bud Ugly

      You suck.

    • McBeastie

Vince, your mom should have left you in the conceptual stage.

      • cousin eddie

Dammit McBeastie, didn't see your comment. Great minds think alike

      • Vince

Yea, your mom and I were going to leave you there too, but the dog got loose. Sorry your 'dad' got hit by a car, btw….

        • McBeastie

huh? Dude…your comebacks need a little time in the conceptual stage before they get put out there for everyone to see.

    • cousin eddie

That's what your parents said about you Vince

  • uberbrie

Try 2900 EUR a night for one person 4200 Eur for 2 and add 400 Eur to add a child…that a little steep for my taste

  • I'm not creative

I hate to be "that guy" but this is old news…I saw this months ago (but I'm not sure what website to credit)…I was a lil disappointed to see this when I woke up…

  • Motofox

  • DirtyArmySpecialist

  • top dog

#5 It look like a glass box hanging from a tree, I mean I would love to have something like this in my back yard but, I don't think I would pay to stay there for a nite.

Heheheh – Reminds me of a walk in the park with school when I was younger, we all had these mirror boards under our noses and hand to walk round looking in the mirror – felt like you were walking in the canopy…
i had a go in the Daintree rainforest in Australia for me & my kids last summer, granted I probably looked like a pleb – but it was hilarious & amazing, some people looked at us strangely till I told them what I was doing – then they had a go and nearly fell over (trust me you'd need to try it)

    Mirrors are ace fun….
