Mysterious barn found with welded doors -you won’t believe what’s inside (14 photos)

0 0

A man named Manuel Menezes Moraistook these photos, but he was sworn to secrecy about the cars’ location and the owner’s name. What we do know is the mysterious owner of the cars was a Portuguese car dealer in the 70's and 80's and stashed away some rare and some not-so-rare cars he came across. When the barn was full, he padlocked and soldered the doors shut. To each their own, I guess. I have a fingernail collection dating back to 82 under my bed.

That is freakin awesome. Who gets to keep these cars now?

    • jason

the man who owns them, duh!

      • Mook

Am I the only one who thinks
        "Wooptie fucking do."

Oh billions of dollars stashed away, bla bla bla. Who cares.

        • northerner

          You ain't a motorhead, obviously.

        • MiPod

You think those cars worth billions of dollars?

          • dean

this is old, think they were appraised at close to 35 million last time i read about this, which is still pretty ridiculous.
some people don't understand the whole can't take it with you thing.

            • walt

It's probably just time travelers that need a way to make some money now and then since they don't have soc. sec numbers (being time travelers and all) gives em a little something to sell every now and then

  • misainzig

    That's pretty fucking awesome.

  • Richard T

first, I don't care about barns

    • stebo304

      first your an idiot….nuff said

      • Richard T2

        actually it's YOU'RE…but keep trying

        • JKD

I am thankful that I am not the only one who witnesses the failure of our academic system

          • stebo304

no youR just a failure at life

    • Low

      Secondly, you're an idiot.

  • Sauru

what a waste. if you want to collect something at least try to take care of the collection

    • elgordito

The story I'd seen with this post when I first saw it was that another person purchased the land the barn was located on. The purchaser got to keep the cars.

    • peteyroberto

right? plus leaving cars like that sitting in the same position for a long time on tires and not on jacks ruins the suspension… id say from the cars i could make out theres over a couple million worth much more had he taken substandard care of them.

    • Rye

Ummm….I am not thinking like you… Maybe someone died?!?!?!

  • I am Name

I think I'm seeing things, it looks like their are orbs in most of the photos. But not in all of them. Am I crazy?

    • Not First

It's dust reflecting off the flash.

    • Sam K

It's just dust in front of the camera lol

    • Daaneskjold

It is a ghost man xD

    • qteam3d

I took a closer look at the pixels, and am 100% that those orbs are the disincorporated spirits of the previous owners of these cars, we were murdered so that a mad Portuguese collector could ferret these beauties away in a dusty old barn.

  • cousin eddie

I am that guy…in the paragraph describing the post, sodered*

    • Spencer

It's actually soldered. Nice try though.

    • TitoRigatoni

You are that idiot, trying to correct something that was spelled correctly?

    • TitoRigatoni

      Although it should be, welded*

      • cousin eddie

you mean wielded, right? (jk, face palm) sorry, i had to do it

        • Jeremy

No cousin eddie, it is welding (not soldering as in electronics). Wielding the doors would be an entirely different and difficult thing to do. Unless you are Superman. Or the Hulk. Or Godzirra.

          • James

You don't need to be superman to weld two metal doors together. And its not difficult at all.

            • yuck fou

no, but to swing some huge steel doors around like you're "wielding" a sword would take superman

              • JKD

I am so fucking high. Lots of cars. Neat Shit. No need for debate. (except for the welding thing. Welding the the correct solution.

          • cousin eddie

this website needs a fucking sarcasm font. you really think i was serious about the wielding comment jeremy?

            • Jeremy

Noted. I'll try to read slower next time. Btw, your crappers full.

          • D.C

I've said it once and I'll say it twice, cousin eddie, you are hands down my least favorite cousin

            • cousin eddie

thanks D.C. it means a lot, wait what???

    • Springheel Jack

      sorry dude, it's 'soldered'.

  • Sam K

    Absolutely amazing to see

  • femtrooper

Do they still run? If so I wants one. *grabby hands*

    • top dog

After a little maintenence, like battery and oil change, they will run. That is the car collection of car collections

  • Mike Engler

God, i would love to restore those babies!

    • northerner

Me, too. Looks like with many, just a good bath, a new battery and some TLC would do wonders. Especially if they are low mileage, stored since new.

    • Ricky Reyes Jr.

That's what she said… Wait what?

  • Virulent87

  • Anon

The tires aren't completely flat which means they haven't been there for as long as we all probably thought in the beginning.

    • Me2

Who cares about the cars, I want to know if Anon is "The Stig"???

    • Ludachris

Yeah I completely agree with you Anon, The tyres are not completely flat, they are just flat at the bottom, cant be that old at all!

    No XR4TI or Dolorian?

    • Raymond Hubbard

wow, your hard to please dude.

  • Falthor

okay guys everyone knws this is FAKE right? the whole thing about the car dealer is on the money. He hired a photographer to take pictures of his collection in his Barn on his property.

  • Fred

B.S. If some collector (amateur or not) collected these, they wouldn't all be under 4 inches of dirt and dust…he would have put a blanket over each…and to keep prying eyes out in case someone drilled a hole in the barn. Solder? A child can break solder. Maybe you mean WELD. Besides, a high percentage of these cars have smashed windows, headlights, etc. Probably some guy who collected junk cars at his junkyard and kept the 1/2 way decent ones.

    • ryan

Anyone that has a loyla, lotus super 7, bingot, 30's bent, 30's rolls, porsche 359 and 904, lotus eroupa….knows about cars. They are dirty not but probably not broken. Even if 100% of the cars are broken, it still would be worth millions. If they work?!?! 10's of millions.
