    • Dan'sdumb

      Dan's dumb

    • MigraineBoy

That's because you like Justin Bieber a little too much.

      • Dan

Fuck you both. I'll take Judas Priest or Black Sabbath over the Beatles any day.

          Your not helping yourself here.

        • schmeilsson

          You are a fucking idiot…sir

          • Jedi

I will not insult your taste sir, as I too enjoy priest and sabbath. But the beatles are a rock and roll icon, they have influenced the entire spectrum of music. Perhaps you don't realize how wide their range actually is. I say give them another chance, and try their newer stuff (as in the stuff the came up with after they started smoking) and burn a fatty while you are at it

            • PabloD

Completely zonked out on LSD is the only way ive ever enjoyed the beatles,

        • DaddyD

Danny Boy — without the Beatles, there never would have been a Judas Priest or a Black Sabbath.

          • MigraineBoy

            Or Justin Bieber.

            • lowdown

Bwahhahahahah!! Judas Priest……over the Beatles? Judas Priest. wow.

    • squid

I'll never understand it either! their music is too hippie for me to enjoy. Il rather take Black Sabbath and The Doors any day.

  • Martin

Surely John Lennon could of got any woman in the world, yet he chose the less than attractive Yoko Ono.

      Love is blind.

Sadly, in Yoko's case, love is deaf too.

    Most overrated band ever.

    • schmeilsson

go play in the street while listening to nickelback very loudly

    • DaddyD

Possibly true. But who cares if they were only a little bit better than every other band, or a lot better than every other band.

    • dheis

I just spent $50 on Beatles posters. Money well spent!

  • George Harrison

    #28 … Find Her

    • Bobby Falcon

      Patti Boyd

    • Steve G

The woman is George's then wife, Patty.
      She also took the picture.
She was a model when George meet her on the set of "A Hard Days Night"
You can see her in several scenes in the movie.
She's the blonde when the Beatles are in the back the train in the mail car singing.
She was also married to Eric Clapton after her and George divorced.
If you know the song "Wonderful Tonight", she's the girl Clapton is singing about brushing her long blonde hair.

      • Ken

I think she was also the inspiration for Clapton's song "Layla." She and Clapton has something going before she divorced Harrison.

        • T.J.

Clapton met her while he recorded the guitar part on the Beatles song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

  • chester

"We're more popular than Jesus now" ~ John Lennon, 1966, #33, … Discuss

    • Tyler

    • Vincent Vega

The Beatles did sell more records!!!

    • asb

its well documented that this was a quote blown out of proportion. think of the context. it was just a quip

    • jadiwin

Well, Jesus' solo albums sucked, he got too commercial

  • Spyros

She was always UNGLY and CREEPY !

  • Stueyd67

Get a grip, people. Without The Beatles, we would have had no Stones, Led Zep, The Kinks, The Who…the list is endless. you folks who say that their music is overrated, i bet you have never listened to any of it. Sad.

    • Long Duck Dong

Actually the Stones were out there at the same time and so was the Who – but they were called The High Numbers (and w/o Keith Moon) before they changed the name. But agreed – the Beatles broke the door down first and further agree that this music is timeless and awesome

    • Ben_Dover

Beatles had nothing to do with Zeppelin either..

    • Tyler

saying that a music group completely influenced a whole genre of music is just…well….ignorant….and you sir, are no longer welcome on the chive.

      • Lleamen

According to the voting majority: He is.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=635254147 Benjamin Honeycutt

They did look at music prior to the beatles, it had been almost all blues music the beatles incorporated hundreds of different elements such as classical and world music opening the door for pretty much all music today

        • Jimmy Page

The Beatles weren't "THE first" to do that. Just the most popular.

  • Phondo

The inability to acknowledge the impact and creativity of the Beatles is like saying Shakespeare is full of cliches.

    • misschris

Well said Phondo. Even if their music isn't exactly your "taste" (and if you trash the Beatles I use that word very loosely) you can't deny their talent and like you said – IMPACT.

      • Phil

I doubt anyone who bashes the Beatles would understand the Shakespeare analogy.

        • Tyler

wow thats quite the statement there….remember: we're just on a website…..cool it.

  • AZbtchs

*facepalm to anyone saying this band is overrated. Without the Beatles, the British invasion would never have happened thus never giving us the greatness of Zep, The Who, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd…need I say more?

    • chester

you promise? so if I had a time machine…and stopped the creation of the beatles…I could enjoy a life free of Zepplin, The Who, Pink Floyd, etc…? awesome! Where's Doc Brown when you need him???

#28 It pays to be a beatle, huh?

  • Loveisnotallyouneed

Led Zep would still be the greatest band ever, even if the lame ass beatles didn't come before them. There is no comparison between the two bands. Jimmy Paige created masterpieces of great length and depth, the beatles created two minute pop songs comparable to a modern day boy band.

    • Anon

LZ is a great band and I love their music but most of their songs are complete rip offs of old blues artist like Willie Dixon and Sonny Boy Williamson. Page played with the Yardbirds and borrowed heavily from their early music and even Stairway to Heaven (yes the holy grail of Zeppelin songs) was a rip off from a lesser known band that used to tour with them.

      • PabloD

If you get down to the nitty gritty, every rock song ever played comes from the influences of old blues musicians that were ripped off by young white musicians before there were such things as copyright laws.

        • joe pancake

Agreed, the only reason the British invasion was popular was because they were whites playing jazz/blues instead of the domestic blacks. btw i'm white

    • Ringo

Clearly you've never listened to the White Album or the Magical Mystery Tour or Revolver.

  • wyatt

#26 is Linda McCartney. and #28 is Pattie Boyd

    • STFU

      Go shoot yourself.

  • TylerV

I feel like #19 could be shopped to say "Chive'n"

  • David

Epic! One look at these pics (especially #9 ) and you can see where bands like Oasis drew their inspiration from…. these guys are the Shakespeares and the Van Goghs of modern rock and roll.
