It is the same form of juggling, however what few people know is that David Bowie didn'T perform the trick. An artist called Michael Moschen was behind David essentially acting as his arms and doing the tricks himself.
This form of juggling was in fact "invented" by Moschen when one of his friend died and he wanted to protray a form of juggling that showed our total lack of control on life, hence never grasping the ball.
