  • tits_mcgee_

#32 I'm going to pretend that is a young Dirk Nowitzki… only to justify the way he is dressed

    • ReyTiburones

I'm fairly certain I had that exact outfit…

  • Brad

#36 I had Pole Position for my Atari… for the youngsters – Atari was a game console that came before Nintendo and featured rudimentary games…

    • P Bizzy

I gotta pole position for the youngsters…

    • AlwaysSunny

thank you for the clarification. I had no idea what this "Atari" is that you speak of.

    • Billy

      Where the Hell is moonwalk

    • MacNCheesePro

I had that game on Atari as well. Along with Frogger and Donkey Kong

      • nwest

oh hell yeah, and #18 Dig Dug

        • Admiral Ackbar

    • fuzzybeard2016

I have a buttload (99!) of Atari games on my iPad.

      • http://www.facebook.com/Seven.Nine.Six Sean Doherty

I still have them on my Atari. 😉

        • fuzzybeard2016

Out of the 99 I have, ~12 of then are direct ports of the (mostly older) arcade machines. *sigh* I did miss Crystals Castles rather badly. Props for keeping the 2600 faith, though! 🙂

  • brad

most of these were taken last week in Missouri

    • Ryan Smith

      HA

    • bonezoz

      • billybigrig

And don't forget booze … lots and lots of booze.

  • Lower

This is the stuff dreams are made of.

  • Mike

It's a shame the arcade scene had to die… The last arcade in NY closed down just a few weeks ago

    • Urban

  • http://www.facebook.com/Chance11or Jeff Chancellor-Neely

    Chive,
Ok where is Die Hard? Best arcade game by EPIC FAR. Just my opinion. I love that one.

    • DrROBOTO

I believe that came out in the 90s and was also available on jaguar…

  • Carissa

80's, get back in my life please.

  • denzino

#1 that karate game kicked my butt!
#3 i'll still play pinball games
#21 i just got paperboy on my phone
i know it's probably 90's nostalgia but one of my favorites was ivan ironman stewart's super off road! http://www.arcade-history.com/images/cabinetmini1

    • Drizzle

Reminds me of the movie/documentary "The King of Kong" about the Donkey Kong world championship

    • FamousNate

They have paperboy for the phone!?!

  • Slimey

    PREPARE TO QUALIFY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Admiral Ackbar

      Boop…Boop….BEEP!

  • xXbeermonkeyXx

#9 james franco is being totally ignored by the blonde playing pole position, so he checks out the rest of the room

  • HayzeOne

If only I could trade in my xbox for one of these.

  • rocknroll

Notice that everyone is THIN. What's that tell ya about today's eating habits & its contents?

    • ddd

Noticed that too. No one is even chubby. Lot of faux-staches though.

    • Womp

its prolly beacause they walked those acid washed jeans and Vuarnet T-shirts to the arcade and all over instead of to the couch to put on a headset and play video games with their friends

      • Khaki Mallard

and don't forget the mullets, tube socks, and cyclist hats. Ah, the height of 80s fashion!

  • lamontyoubigdummy

    OMG…jean jackets…Jams…awful hairdos…acid washed, tight rolled jeans…OP, Maui & Hobie stuff…parachute pants!!

    [has nostalgia/ shamegasm…passes out]

    • jaywalke

I don't see any Members Only jackets, though.

      • lamontyoubigdummy

And no shirts that say or show a Porsche, lol

        • Admiral Ackbar

No fat laces either and not nearly enough neon colored clothing.

          • bigdeal

            OP!!!!! rofl

  • Picard_

    Who wears short shorts?

  • Mike

Oh the sounds!!! It kills me to know I'll never again hear the wonderful noise that a room full of these machines made.

I remember that a pole position machine could wake the dead. You could always make out that one above the rest. Same thing with track and field.

    • Spliggs

My buddy and I used to go ape$hit on the 2-player Cyber Sled game; one time the arcade guy had to come over and tell us to keep it down, despite the fact that the ambient noise level was around 120db, lol! Good times…

    • bigdeal

      thats true..
      jingle tokens
      joystick banging into edges
      dumb teenage polite/shy boy comments
      prepare to qualify
      pacman jingle
      assorted spaceship taking off sounds

  • lamontyoubigdummy

I didn't see Track & Field, Journey or Dragon's Lair in there. 😦

Or Joust! I mean WTF? Do knights not ride ostriches anymore?

If not, the royal wedding is gonna suck balls.

    • Foamy

      Track & Field #10

      • lamontyoubigdummy

So it is. Good call. I was distracted…by all the beautiful 80ness in the foreground. Beards, tinted windshield glasses, etc. Basically my parents when they too us to Mr. Gattis after a little league game.

    • kodakkid

that last line caused me to choke on my coffee

    • Admiral Ackbar

Joust was awesome! What about Defender? Didn't see that one either. Dragon's lair was the coolest game and I think one of the first ones to cost more than $0.25.

What about Qbert? I don't see that on eon there either.

      • TitoRigatoni

        #40 Qbert

      • 1C451

        #12 DEFENDER

    • Kato

      Journey is in #32

  • Rob

    Some still live!
