      • Justin Hall

I'm going with Milhouse. Everything's coming up Milhouse.

        • its_forge

Pretty sure Milhouse was based on this character.

  • bbqboobs

    #1 A lot creepier than I remember.

If only playing Turtles in Time could actually take me back 15 years…

    • Doc

I played the crap out of that game. Same goes for the Simpsons one.

      Good times.

      • Lauren Gentile

The tomato/egg level on the Simpson's game for the Genesis was absolutely addicting! Principal Skinner would ALWAYS bend down to tie his damn shoes and lo and behold his ass would get hit by a tomato and the gig would up. :(

Damn good game, damn good system! Good call!

        • Doc

Haha nice I remember that all too cleary!

          *shakes fist*

  • Dingo8MyBaby

For those of you who don't understand what's happening here, I am so, so, so, so sorry.

    • Doc

For adults, the 80s were way too flamboyant.

For kids, it was the best decade ever.

      • mitch

YES! That is a perfect way to put it. I was age 3-13 in the 80's….such great memories. I look back at pictures now, and adults look so retarded (huge glasses, big hair, weird clothes, etc.)

  • Anakrusix

    Wow. I can't believe it's been that long…

    • DrROBOTO

right? Sometimes I miss it and wish I could go back. Then I remember I have tits, cars and beer now so…it balances out.Oh yea, and the Chive 2 help me remember the old stuff.

  • ALT

#13 I was hoping it was a gif and wating for them to move

    • Ken

    • plop

i'll take the hostess tmnt pies, thank you very much

    • http://www.myspace.com/theamericanmaniacs BentWrenches

they were terrible, and the gum eyes tasted like vomit

  • http://www.facebook.com/unbelievableflows Cameron Hoehn

#2 Tried to explain pogs to my girlfriend the other day. It was impossible to make them sound appealing. But I used to love em.

    • Sam

dude, how old is your girlfriend?

      • Sizzle

I agree. She's either way too young or way too old.

        • http://www.last.fm/user/mutiilator Brand_n

Definitely too young because my parents played bottle caps when they were young, which was basically the same thing.

      • Lisa

Well, they came out around 1995, so a 20 year old would only 4 and might not remember them as someone who was let's say 8 or so.. so 20/24 is possible and not creepy.

    • iinferno2010

have to agree here, I am 24 and I remember pogs like they were yesterday. Bought them at Total Crafts and Wal-Mart bins for like .10 or .15 cents a pog, and the slammers….ohhhhh the slammers. I had so many cool ones…

      Miss the 90s :/

#19 bet i know what his last sony will be

    • EZEE

For a while, in some 'urban areas' – my first sony was all the rage with 'members of the influential hip hop community.' It was so odd so see very tough looking people walking around with brightly colored sonys.

      • Justin Hall

New York's Upper East Side doesn't count as an 'Urban Area.'

  • JohnnyBoy

This little dog is how I passed English. Not just one class…every class.

    <img src=http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/childhood-memories-12.jpg>

    • Zoey

      WIshbone was the BEST!
It reminds me of the old Mr. Magoo stories; same idea, but with the crazy old man.
What better way to learn the classics.
I have a few Wishbone's on DVD, but they never seemed to have released all of them :(

    • Vagina Jones

Thats so fucking true. I owe so much to Wishbone.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Luis-Francisco-Rodriguez-Lugo/635776387 Luis Francisco Rodriguez Lugo

I'm from Mexico, and while some spanish translations suck, wishbone was great anyway

  • Ben

#3 FUCK I forgot about Battle Toads until just this second! Thank you for making my morning Chive

    • Lauren Gentile

"Arrrrgh! You've made porkmeat out of my Psyko-Pigs!"

      That game was awesome!

      • Joel

So awesome, yet so impossible to beat.

        • Doc

          So many controllers broken…

          • jetrome

Still can't beat it. Only NES game I've never beaten. I can't get past the pipe maze…

            • Rob

I beat it. But beating it on 2 player IS impossible. Can't even get past level 3. The other player always screws up or picks you up inadvertently and throws you in a pit!

  • Stuck on stupid

Does anybody know what #29 is? (and I apologize for not posting the pic along with the number, I'm at work)

    • Mads

That is Krang, the evil "mastermind" from Ninja Turtles

    • Randy Marsh

If you don't know who this is then you are on the wrong site

      • Mercules

If you don't know all of the exact same things I do, you are of less worth than me.

        • YupYupYup

should be less worth than I".

          • V4Vendetta14

lol…Krang and his giant round rolling death star base…

      • Randy Marsh

The giant rolling death star base???? Do you mean the Technodrome. How old are you all?? 10??

        • bigdeal

stupid little shits… if i see one more post that says "whats this from" ? on this particular subject, ive lost all hope in this site.

          • Parkatola

            What's this from?

    • JLC

How can you not recognize Krang? "Shredderrrrrrrr!"

    • natasha

    • Sizzle

My parents hated those thing so much. We used to stick them to the wall and they left horrible smudges.

    • Jonjon Moon

duuuuuude what are they called, im gonna order them right now if they are still for sale!

      • TitoRigatoni

They're still around. My kids get them at Chuck E. Cheese's.

        • TUY

yep – one of these stained my living room ceiling last week. Thanks, Chuck.

        • Justin Hall

What's sad is that after about three slaps they got covered in shit and lost their stickiness.

          • TitoRigatoni

I'm lucky if I can get them away from the kids before they get eaten.

  • xXbeermonkeyXx
