The only time I will ever call out someone's grammar is when someone else is being smarmy enough to try and do the same. Updated Modern Language Association as well as American Psychologocal Association (MLA and APA formats), the two formats used for the majority of collegiate level writing, both insist on punctuation inside quotation marks. The most amazing part: The song was improvised.
The "Rock Flag and Eagle" part Charlie recycled from some joke about the generic patriotism of truck commercials, but the rest was done on the spot. Charlie Day is awesome.
