Now step away from Facebook and experience it. But always Chive!
daniel
hey chivers i'm taking a trip to northern california and oregon, anyone got any advice as to where i can como across places like the ones shown here.
thanks
chicksdigit
Oregon coast is always great.
R-Dub
Yosemite. Awesome.
FueledByAdrenaline
Santa Cruz/Redding, CA, Morro Bay, CA, as well as Yosemite National Park. In Oregon, Klameth Falls has some pretty epic forestry and lakeside chill spots.
Jason
Crater Lake is shown a lot in these posts. As is Lake Billy Chinook. Both are in Oregon. Neither is close to each other.

i want to go to there…..
seriously, where is this place?
dfg
manarola, Italy.
Shakespeare
I believe it's Cinque Terre in Italy. Not sure though
Anjin-San
both are correct.
Manarola is one of the "Cinque Terre", which means "Five Countries"
They are 5 beautiful little towns in the northern Italy, by the Ligurian Sea
http://www.boomtownradio.co.uk gifted_beatnik
we should have a chive gathering there.
thanks for the info guys….chive on!
Mads
Reminds me of Monkey Island 3…

lotta mountains in this one. get me away to someplace warm. Wisconsin is still cold!
Natalie Tuttle
You kidding me? You must be in northern wisconsin–it was nearly 90 in Madison today!
Beard
I had a housemate from Wisconsin, she still sounds dumb when she talks.
Hey_You
#10 looks like the Almalfi coast in Italy, beautiful place
I thought – ooh, #16 would be a nice wallpaper. But then I realised if someone asked if that was my girlfriend, and I said, "No, just something I found on the internet" it would make me look like saddest man in the world

Chive, i know it's probably asking a lot, but what are th chances of getting the locations of these pictures underneath each one?! Effort yes, worth is, totally!

#18 is beautiful!
tisan
#18 my new wallpaper
paulhitchcock
Yep. Yellowstone Falls.
paulhitchcock
#18 is Yellowstone Falls in Yellowstone National Park. In my previous life as a geologist, I studied the volcanic system responsible for creating Yellowstone. Geologically speaking, it's due to erupt any day now (meaning sometime in the next several thousand to 10,000 years). When it does, you don't want to be within a few thousand miles of it.
tim
You don't want to be on Earth at all really, considering an eruption of a megavolcano is going to have catastrophic global effects.
paulhitchcock
I was speaking more to the short-term effects of incineration from the blast wave, pyroclastic flow, and ashfall, and respiratory effects of inhaling all that ash, but yes, you are absolutely correct. Nuclear winter is no fun.
Johnny Two Toes
Meh, I wanna be close by to experience the awesomeness, everyone will die anyways, might as well go quick.
Also, I'm in Billings, so a couple hundred miles.
Natalie Tuttle
OMG coolest job ever.
willkm75
Were is #10 that place looks soo cool I would love to visit if i knew were it was????
ManBearPig
#2 reminds me of the Alaska level from Road Rash II for Sega Genesis.
manofabsinthe
