I usually love both of their work and I think they are both talented and brilliant.That having been said–I can see why most people didn't like this movie–as we are all used to the classic Willy Wonka with Gene Wilder and I adored that movie for many,many reasons.The movie Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was culled directly from the book,which I also loved,along with Roald Dahl's other novels,but it didn't seem to translate well onto the big screen.It had two strikes against it going in.Some things just should not be fucked with.I hear someone wants to remake Dario Argento's "Suspiria" and I say "BLASPHEMY!!"
