#19, Too bad Hanoi Jane wasn't raped by the entire North Vietnamese Army that she cozied up too during the Viet Nam War. But then again she gave comfort and support to our enemies abroad.

Wow dude. Let it go. You lost that war years ago. No one cares.

"…you'll find he believed that he felt he would be a negative influence in her life, and that she would have a better chance of happiness without him around. "
Right, because having a parent commit suicide is totally clinical and never causes a negative influence on the child they left behind.
Life is full of tragedy, SnotBoogie, if you can't try and find the humor in the bad stuff, that sucks for you.
By the way, who was I being incredibly insensitive to? Did Kurt read my comments, or are you somehow personally related to him?
obviously
what was the last thing to go thru Kurts mind before he died?
obviously
his teeth
boo hoo boogie
Those journal thoughts are fleeting and written by the drugs and depression. He had people reaching out to him to help, he chose not to make himself a better person for his daughter. That's the tragedy. Chims comments weren't insensitive, maybe you're too sensitive. It's sad enough without making excuses for him. Man up.

Hanoi Jane is a worthless piece of trash who is a trader to her own country and should be drug out back and shot!

I think Mr. Illiterate (aka sly) means "traitor".
I'd ask him myself, but his trailer was repossessed and now he's living in a ditch.

I love the comments of people looking at this from a cold, analytical point of view. Objectively, it was a terrible thing to do to Frances Bean, particularly with Courtney as the "mom". But as you mentioned, Kurt thought he'd be a bad influence on his daughter's life and she'd be better off without him. Boy, what a crazy and depressed thing to say!
I mean, when a person says something like that, you'd almost think he -wasn't- in possession of a logical, objective viewpoint, and was in the throws of unstable moods swings.
hey
exactamundo! he thought he was doing something good for his daughter and just because that ended up being wrong doesnt mean he had bad, cowardly intentions. its all about the intent. and really….who can say he would have really made a good dad, what with the drugs…perhaps it's better she didnt see him go through that struggle!

Technically–it wasn't a re-make.The first movie was "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and was based more LOOSELY on the book and was a comedy/fantasy/musical."Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was based almost word for word on the book and was a dark comedy/musical.
That having been said–as much as I love Burton and Depp–I didn't care for the movie.

Did you bother to read the part where I basically AGREED with you and said that I DIDN'T care for the movie?

Too bad she had her head so far up her butt she never saw the light of day. She was a traitor and deserves no respect even if she was hot back in her day.
