alright everybody, let's not turn against one of the best posts on the internet. the DAR also used to be 20 photos, all scraped. now it has a cadence, original stuff, 50 photos, and i still lmao.

there's not a site out there with a vibe like the chive. and the dar is the masthead. i honestly think some chivers are just getting plain spoiled these days.

I'd take a DAR with 20 quality photos than a DAR with 50 photos which include reposts, photos trying to get me to buy a t-shirt, and is bloated with T&A. The DAR should be a quality standalone, there are plenty of posts I enjoy on this site devoted to T&A no need to add more to the DAR.

Also, I couldn't agree with the original commenter more. Hate to sound like a hipster but I believe the slip in quality may be due to the Chive wanting to become more mainstream and boost ad revenue/sell t-shirts. This has worked, but has also attracted a large amount of idiots.

@lotus OMG, quality over quantity any day. i love the chive, and am a faithful fan, but things are getting stale lately… You'd think with the 1000's of submissions they get in a day we'd have a better DAR lately. Now I hold no malice towards the boys, they do a damn fine job, but we need to speak up if things are heading south.
