    • FionnR

That lion was born in Dublin Zoo :)

      • Tchive

        And his name is Leo

      • FreakyBobo

His stage name was Leo, his Lion name was Slats.

And i never knew that FionnR, even as an Irishman thats blown my mind.

        • FionnR

Pretty cool eh? :) …most famous lion in the world and he's a Dub :P

    • ...

He killed that guy like 2 days later after that screening or something. Seriously. I read it.

    • Frank

      More, Intensity!

  • Sumer Gill

    dont worry about your lines!!!!!
all i care about is where im gonna put the lights to get the best lens flare!!!

    • asdasd

Fuck yeah!! Needs MOAR lens flare!!

Why? Does he think we like it?

      • Wilson

I don't think he thinks we like it. He likes it, and he uses filming techniques that aren't used anymore that would create lens flares, and because of that I guess you can say he became obsessed with them, and started adding them on purpose. I agree though, they should be cut down by a great deal, but I do think they have some merit, and in specific shots they are useful and add a certain quality that would be missed if they weren't there.

    • Honk

I like how this one doesn't get an actor's name but all the rest do

    • 123

So I assume there's an overabundance of lens flares in Super 8? Is that where the comment comes from?

  • Taynk

#20 I got some candy… in my astro van… out back.

    • drksdr

he does look a bit 'unsafe' there, doesn't he…. :p

    • themasecar

I heard that whole comment in Danny DeVito's voice

  • Gav

#24 lion is saying “is this my good side? My hair’s ok, yeah? David Bowie loved it”

    • Taynk

  • Cavall

    • asdasd

Those aren't ideas mister Bay, those are special effects.

      • Maximelene

But that's Mister Bay who's over using them for anything.

        • falacer

That's also Mister Bay laughing all the way to the bank … only took 9 days for the new movie to break $500 million :(

      • Brent Verwymeren

        "I don't know the difference…"

    • bdizzle

Someone photoshop an exploding camera. Jedi Michael Explosions.

    • 123

Don't forget about the 4 different robots we've never been introduced to fighting in the middle of the street for ten minutes with camera movement so jerky you couldn't figure out which character was which even if you had been introduced to them or cared at all. Now back to an ass shot, queue the explosion on camera 4, take camera 4, cut back to the ass on camera 2, now flash back and forth between them like a fucking strobe light for 3 minutes.

  • VinnyJ12190

#18 It seems that envy is my sin.

  • toby

    #4 worst Tarantino movie ever.

    • Dagoth Wit

I prefer the phrase least-best. It might be his worst, but it's in no way bad.

    • Alperen

Tarantino has really good movies, so The fact that it is the worse one ,still suggest that it is good.

    • homerpimpson

I don't know man, I'd say it was some of the best dialogue he's written since Pulp Fiction.

    • Film Buff

Watch the car chase again. Maybe your opinion will change.

  • meh

Thanks for the captions this time around. Half the time I didn't know who half these people were or from what movie. And would it have killed you to put Kyle Chandler's name on #14

  • Maffu

#4 QT and KR comparing massive heads. It's like a scene from Team America.

  • Beldar

QT: I want you to grab her boobie with your right hand and twist it slowly to the right. Can you do that for me?

KR: It might take a few 100 takes, but I'll see what I can do.

  • Rob

#9 Is an absolutely epic movie. Everyone needs to go watch The Departed right now.

  • Guse

turn out to be one of the best film recently
the story/acting/filming are all very good
did not expect this movie to turn out so good

  • PartyMarty

#1 I don't care what anybody says- I love this movie.

    • old man stream

almost everyone loves the movie….just because he didn't market the shit out of it people think its not liked by most or that its underrated….fuck you people need to stop judging your ideas of what people like by watching commercials

      • PartyMarty

Back off there, friend. I assume by "he" you mean Wes Anderson? First of all, he did try to market the shit out of this movie- it was supposed to be his big-budget debut. The Royal Tenenbaums had been made for 28 million and took in 52 million. The Life Aquatic was given a budget of 50 million and eventually only took in 35 million, mostly as a result of uniformly horrible reviews. So, no, "almost everybody" did not like this movie. It was universally panned, in fact.

It's those reviews to which I take issue. When I say "I don't care what anybody says", i'm talking about nearly every major critic in the country, as well as the majority of the viewing public who consistently rank TLA as Anderson's worst movie. I disagree, obviously, and think it's a great movie. But don't accuse me of "judging (my) ideas" (whatever that means) by "watching commercials". Even though that accusation doesn't make any sense, I take umbrage to it.

        • old man stream

Wrong…they spent an almost equal amount in marketing this movie as Rushmore and Tennenbaums. It wasn't supposed to be his "big-budget debut" as you say, it just cost more and he hoped it reached a wider audience. Also….the viewing public considers TLA a better movie than The Darjeeling Limited by far and wide meathead,

          • PartyMarty

You're awfully cagey and agressive for somebody with whom I agree. Back off the name calling and put down the 'roids. We both like this movie. Relax.

Not sure how else you'd define "big budget debut" other than procurement of a budget more than twice the size of any other Anderson had seen in his career thus far, and an attempt to reach, for the first time ever, a broad commercial audience.

Where are you getting your "viewing public" information? Perhaps people you know enjoy TLA "by far and wide" (you've invented a phrase!), but there are no scientific metrics to measure audience opinion other than box office- where people, according to their wallets, preferred TRT to TLA by a margin of nearly 3 to 1. On IMDB they each garner a rating of exactly 7.2, placing them in a tie.

Going back to my OP, which was not argumentative: I enjoy this movie- I have enjoyed all of Anderson's movies. And there are a lot of people out there that criticize his style. TLA was among the most criticized. That's a fact. And that's all I was saying. We both have good taste. Stop being a dick.
