    Pretty shitty list.

  • frankadadank

you missed GameOn! and Cask N' Flagon, both huge sports bars and both outside the oldest and most beloved ballpark in merica.

    • CarRamRod

      And the Baseball Tavern too!

      • Ferret

sry ram rod that place is a POS. roof deck is only good part and it closes at 12 .. WTF?

#9 the Noodle is not a sports bar. Kick Ass? Yes! Sports bar? NO. They play a lot of Blues and people like Bruce Willis will walk off the street and play there which is sweet. It is also one of the most haunted places in the U.S. It was part of the underground railroad. I really like to hang out there but just because it is across the street from the Colts stadium does not make it a sports bar.

  • Mahoney21

Sports Illustrated voted "The Fours" in Boston the greatest sports bar in America a couple years back…. but im sure the Chive knows more about sports bars than them.

  • Mahoney21

Also whats up with this Canadian bullsh*t im hearing, This best sports bars in merica. No one gives a shit about alberta retards

  • @gsqrd

    #11 Awesome food even!

    • Yo Mamma

Great food, yes. Sports bar, no. Fanatics is even better. BUT….they do have sour cream and "chive" fries!

Jake's Dilemma in NYC must be a joke. That is an awful sports bar. There is little to no seating and awful food. It is a great place to hit on wasted Columbia freshman.

  • PilotDad

Leave it to the Boston fans to bitch the most. Send in your suggestions and maybe even go to a bar and get a picture to submit. There will be another chance. Hell, you may even get your own whole page. Possible title "Boston Sports Fans Whine and Dine Here"…

  • Mike Kimbrel

Wow some of these owners need to invest in AT LEAST new TVs and many need to add a lot more.

  • WZB

We had part of my bachelor party at #19 (Jake's Dilemma) in NYC – great back room you can rent with pool tables, TV's, beer pong, etc. I don't exactly remember the details though.

  • Haus8

Both those NYC bars you have on this list are not sports bar at all..Notice in pic #19, ake’s Dilemma..there is one TV in the picture..You need to come back to NYC and check out some real sports bar because those 2 on this list are not real…

  • Screwdriver

#6 What stoner put this on the list?…Sportsman’s Lodge is two blocks from my house…it is not a sports bar…That pick is of their basic hotel diner that closes at 7 PM and generally has people with blue hair and walkers during the day. They do have an awesome pool and the place is packed in the summer….

#18. Everyone from Chicago can post any number of bars that are good for 'sports' – depends on what you are looking for – food, hot chicks, big tvs or a specific school – ie, an 'IU bar' or a 'Michigan State bar', etc.

I moved from Old Town a few years ago (after having grown up at Addison and Paulina and then to DePaul), but back in the day, THE best bars to watch games – circa 90's:

Bears – Sedgwicks, HiTops (hot chicks/big/tons of tvs/Banana Joes (before it became Joes)/Sports Corner/Gin Mill/Schoolyard.

Bulls (championship run) – Barleycorn on Lincoln (tvs outside), Melvin B's (tvs outside, smoking hot chicks), Banana Joes/Hi Tops

Cubs Games – wherever – Sports Corner, Bernies, etc. Now, Barleycorn on Clark, Casey Moran's, Rockit

College Games – depends on team/bar – Kincaides, Kelseys, McGees, Banana Joe's, HiTops.

I still say the original HiTops (Sheffield) and Banana Joe's (before it became Joe's ) were the best because the food was decent and the bars were huge so you could usually get a table. Also, lots of hot chicks and when the games were over, people would get their dance on. Oh and who doesn't remember the 'Schmitz Gay Beer' SNL commercials they used to run during time outs and half time?

    • zombo

don't you think all these bars are all exactly the same…with the same owners, menus, formula, etc ?

  • Dave H.

I love Max's (Bmore) and all, but it's not a great sports bar. I rather go up the street to the Greene Turtle or Alexander's.

As far as my fave place, check out Miami Mike's in East Hanover NJ. It's a bit "busy" to the eye but Mike is an awesome guy and their tv selection is quite amazing. Food's not bad either.

  • ryan

Legends in Belmont Shore in Long Beach CA is pretty great, similar tv setup as any ESPN Zone or Buffalo Wild Wings but not a chain. plus tons of great dives down the street

  • CarRamRod

Not your best work chive… not your best.

  • Stacy Mantooth

Hmmm…I read the title as "Best Sports Bras." Disappointed, to say the least!

  • Phlerm

#3 is ok, not great. the personal beer tap feature at each table is pretty cool

  • SlimtwigMJ

I designed the drink menu sitting on the table at Ricky's #1

  • Ryan Courtemanche

    #5 its a lockout not a strike.

  • BentWrenches

Where in San Diego is #14 Never heard of it and I've lived here over 30 years

    • Chim Richels

right in Gaslamp on 5th. Can't miss it. They run with the whole 'gangster/Al Capone' schlock.

      • BentWrenches

That 'splains it.never go down there unless I'm heading to Dicks Last Resort,or an occasional Padres game

  • Tyler

No walk ons in baton rouge? Our how about t j ribs? They have a heisman trophy on display!!!!

  • Tackleberry

What about The Cask n Flagon in Boston?!?!?!

    • Mahoney21

      That or the fours

  • Al Killyu

Sorry, anything u say is null and void once you mention haunted. Also, prissy bars in CA should be nowhere near this list.

  • Adam

Been to #1 and #25 Ricky's Bar and Grill is awesome they have a $5 cover charge but you realize why when you get in. The hostess will ask you what NFL game do you really want to watch and they have like 4 seperate rooms with huge projecter screens so the top 4 games will be on big screens at all times. Then throw in probably another 50 tv's throughout the place, there are tv's in the bathrooms for the love of god. Good food and great prices on beer it may have have RAIDER crap all over the walls but all fans are welcome.
