Hard to believe that, NAH DONT BELIEVE IT. Me thinks photoshop played a large part in this.

It's the "photocopy" filter in GIMP or whatever the Photoshop equivalent is. Pencils don't leave loads of perfectly round white speckles and dots in the dark areas, like on the left here. Unless you have a crazy magic pencil. This is definitely not pencilled.
