#21 OK…somebody has obviously set up some sort if surveillance in my house…because that’s pretty much my day anytime I actually have any real time off.

#14 Not soccer, I get that…he used his hanball but not football because the men are nicely proportioned and not wearing padding even though the physical contact is a bit much. So what the he’ll like of sport lets you jump onto a guy’s shoulders to catch a ball?

No, I think Sean Bean is right on this one.

    • Owen Smithers

Concur. Fed brings in about $170 billion a month and the interest on the debt is only about $29 billion. We won't default. We just can't borrow and spend as much as we want to. And we need to start being a little (lot) more responsible.

      • sheoncebelieved

we can't be responsible, not with this idiot in the white house.

        • Owen Smithers

There's plenty of blame to go around. Now it's just time to do what's right, whoever does it. Cut spending, big time, now. Free us to once again thrive. Saddled with every increasing debt does us no good.

      • Hypno

This isn't about what's being spent now. "Debt" is about money that was already spent in the past. It's about paying bills that are due NOW. We need to budget better, yes… but THIS isn't THAT. THIS is about paying back the money that we've already borrowed and spent.

        • Owen Smithers

Yes, you're right. And we have plenty with which to pay the interest on our debt (Fed brings in about $170 billion a month and the interest on the debt is only about $29 billion). So, there's no risk of default, as long as the President thru the treasury directs that the interest be paid (as he's required to do by the 14th amendment).

Past that, the only reason to raise the debt ceiling is so we may borrow more money to spend, which increases our total debt. That's not a very logical thing to do if our true intention is to actually reduce it.

        • PartyMarty

          Thank you.

    • PartyMarty

Yup. The United States pays it's debts.

This isn't for new spending, it's for money already promised. To not raise the debt ceiling would result in the US defaulting on it's debt, which would likely lead to a downgrade in it's AAA credit rating and lead to the dollar's replacement as the world's reserve currency. Not to mention the fact that social security, medicare and unemployment benefits would eventually dry up and the military would eventually stop getting paid.

Defaulting on your bills is not the way to balance your budget. The tea party needs to read a fucking book.

It sounds worse/different than it is- this is the sort of thing you really have to research before you allow yourself to have an opinion.

  • Brendo

You chivers should check out some rugby league and rugby union hits. Makes your NFL look like rubbish. They breed them tough here down under.

    • http://www.facebook.com/autohagiographer Adriana BattleRam Garcia

I love rugby. I would love to play, but women leagues are few and far between. At least here they seem to be.

    • thom

It looks like a pretty cool game, and maybe soccer is great for others too, but why does everyone always insist that Americans MUST love them? Why do you/others have to say our games are "rubbish"? Why can't it just stand on its own as a great game?
Go ahead, start the thumbs down, foreigners.

If you live in the UK (Ireland in my case once upon a time, incidentally Irish women are awesome) it's called eggy in a basket, been eating it for 30 years.

    • IndyGirl

My husband is from Scotland and calls them Sailors Eggs😉

    • Jerbear

My family always called them One-eyed Susies (from Florida, USA), but in the southern states I've heard them called "Frog in a Hole" as well.

    • Steve777

According to my wife – "egg in a basket". Doesn't matter what you call it, this the most amazing way ever to fry and then eat eggs with toast!

    • donimac

Toad in a hole… or a cheapo South African version of a toad in a hole, at least…
