So,…now golf is awesome. I was expecting more from the chivers after all these years. ,Sailing, flying, boxing, claiming, skydiving, scuba diving, football, rugby, some examples of sports were awesome might ensue.
Golf, on the other hand, no matter how many tricks the ball does, is nothing more than a bunch of boring guys trying to put a little ball in a little hole while they stand around for a little and then walk for a little and the biggest danger is…… sand.
Not that there is anything wrong with liking it, or enjoying it, but….awesome??
JGGayyard, is these what is awesome to you?? I absolutely respect it if it is, but i just want you to ask yourself, as should every chiver, if golf truly is awesome.

Is golf awesome? It is to me. Maybe not to everyone else….but I dont care who you are, that shot was fucking awesome. I'm not a big fan of darts, but if someone threw a fucking bullseye with his foot while taking a shot of barenjager blindfolded, (which i guarantee is a millin times more likely than anyone doing what VJ did) I'd be pretty impressed and give proper kudos.

He's one of the best in the world at what he does, doing something that no almost one has ever seen a golfer do, and some ignorant douche uses this as an opportunity to troll an entire sport.

For starters it's from a couple years ago and it was during the Par 3 competition that is held on the Tuesday of Masters Week. It made TSN at the time and I'm sure it made ESPN as well.

that can be real! how would he get backspin and still skip across the water, he might have made that chip, but the photo shop was the whole skipping thing, thats why the screen dropped to the water and sand….. i agree with the ESPN comment above.

Totally real, they have that competition during the Wednesday practice rounds! Players get booed if they don't attempt the skip shot. There was no backspin on the shot, there is a huge slope on that green that funnels the balls back to that hole location. It is there by design
