#2 totally NOT shopped
It's called a long exposure. You open the camera's shutter, wait for a few lightning strikes, then shut it.
Saw this shot on Nasa's site…..awesome
My bucket list just got bigger.
where is #20 ?
Southern China, Guangxi province
This is quite possibly the most incredible scenery I have ever seen.
Where is #8 taken?

Holy crap! I didn't know you could do that. Thanks!
#18 S.Miguel – Azores??
is in switzerland
#3 Wish I was there, instead of in Pennsyltucky.
Wish I was in Pennsyltucky and not Asscrackistan! Soon, very soon! Than hopefully I will be wherever she is shortly after that!
would make a badass painting
but makes a better real life tree

#8 = Harbour of Monaco (France).
Monaco is its own country, France has nothing to do with it except being a neighbor
Check out the big brain on Braaaad
France is responsible for Monaco's national defense, which qualifies as more than "nothing".
Harbour of Monte-Carlo, in Monaco
#14 isn't this the spot where the ship is buried in The Goonies?
Astoria in Oregon I think it was. Also, Kindergarten Cop was filmed there.
can't even believe you made that connection… but i think you're right!
I'm not sure if it is, The Goonies was on Cannon Beach, It could be another part of it though.
Yeah, it used to be a quaint little town, but then Troy's dad built a damn golf course over it. What a dick.
Astoria doesn't have rocks along their beaches like Cannon Beach down the way. And those aren't Cannon Beach's rocks. It could be down by Bandon, which is rocky and beautiful.
Wow, where is shot #19 from?
beehive at lake agnes i believe, near lake louise canada
yup, thats the beehive in the background. that site is like 15 miles from #13
Cool! I was going to guess Banff National Park.
I remember as a kid taking a gondola ride to the top of a mountain, there was a round restaurant at the top of the mountain, we ran around the deck taking in the 360 view.
Wonder if that is still there…
yeah the restaurant is still at the top of sulphur mountain
i wanna go camping/fishing there… and chuck my cell phone out the window on the way. just go all Bear Grylls style for the weekend
you wanna drink your own piss?
anyone know where #1 is located? it looks like a fun hike to a nice lunch.

(Best Picnic Table Ever) South Western BC
#14 is 'the ring' island?!
That's GOONIES I believe….
#9 Looks like she's saying, "Nice, can we go to the mall now??"
#5 Yes that was very nice. Got to take the same pic while it lingered over BJ's liquors!!! Chive On!!!
Shouldn't that be sunrise in Florida?Since it's on the east coast? #5
Florida is a peninsula. It has an East and a West coast.
The More You Know…
What you are seeing is a shot to west across the Intercoastal waterway.
I think that's the Jensen Beach bridge. I have some photos of that same sunset too! From last week.
#4 – anyone else see the side profile of a human face on that rock?
No, cos there would be no other reason why they would put a random-ass picture of a boring jut of rock (in amongst gorgeous vistas and panoramas) if there was nothing else to it…
this wasn't a randomness post, it was a landscape post. There are many photos here that have "nothing else to it…". Ass.
Yea this is the man in the mountain or something like that, it was in northern New Hampshire but I think it collapsed a few years back.
No, this is not the old man in the mountain. This is Apache Head in Ebihens, France.
The old man in the mountain didn't look as realistic: <img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/gonewengland/1/0/x/K/oldman1.jpg" alt="Old Man" />
#13 & #19 sound perfect right about now
At first I thought, Wow, that is spectacular! Then I thought about all the raking I'll be doing by this time next month. Fuck!
#7 is messing with my brain pretty good
my new wallpaper..
Mire Peak – Milford Sound, New Zealand
Mitre Peak – sorry
#16 and #17
make a beautiful baby for me to live in
Originally from CT, Foliage doesn't always capture me, more of a sunset oceanside kind of preference for photographs, but #16 wow'd the F*ck outta me… beautiful… any idea where this was chived from?
Portland Japanese Garden
611 SW Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205
Hey Chive – judging by the comments in this section, don't you think it would be worth putting in captions/locations wherever possible?
captions would be the best idea ever. for people who want to add these places to their bucket list it would be a major help.
#7 Milford Sound – New Zealand?
Pretty sure, at least that's what I thought when I saw it.
@ Mr. Gimmick I believe that it's somewhere in the Guangxi province in Southern China
