#13 How is that a beautiful vacation spot?! I mean, blades jumping out of walls, floors collapsing, a gigantic precipice. And don't even get me started on the drinking water… It just sucks the life out of you! Oh sure, one guy got his gunshot wound healed, that's good. But afterwards the whole fucking place collapsed!

Not that I need to justify myself to you, but I know it's Petra. I've known since I was a kid. I also met a guy who was from Jordan. He brought me a whole book on the subject of this structure.

You're right…. it is Cannon Beach….. I go there every year for 10 days…. sometimes twice a year… terrible place that I force myself to endure…. I mean, huge beaches, a tiny town with fantastic… oops, I mean crappy restaurants and stores….. flying kites, long walks, fires at night on the beach….. terribly stressful and it's almost more that I can stomach. So don't go there. You'll hate it. I'll go there for both of us.

#2 – Yas Marina Circuit – Abu Dhabi, UAE. Go see an F1 race on your layover to Katmandu! If no race, then get a drink on the roof on the Yas and watch the planes come right over your head.
#13 – Petra, Jordan, awesome spot. at least 50 of these carved buildings, the treaury, is super dramatic and about the 3rd one you see walking in.

there is a bar called "Stars and Bars" off to the right in the photo that is the best place. And across the street is Yas Links golf course which is absolutely fantastic. They have a 9 hole par 3 nite course…for $40usd u can play 9 holes, unlimited driving range and one free beer. good value.

#3 is Ischia. A little island off the Bay of Naples in Italy. Spent a weekend there while studying abroad in nearby Sorrento. Incredible.
