that is not apocolypse proof! idiots! there is only one door in and one door out, and when you have zombie chasing after you into it good luck getting that door shut first! one zombie and your fucked!

So it has it's own power source I hope, as well as plenty of fuel. Having a kick ass bunker is fine until you realize that you've got no fuel to run it.

    Fallout vault anyone?

  • SweetBabyJesus

How much does something like that run?

Does it have a water processing/recycling capability? Without that and power generators, it's not truly apocalypse-proof.

  • saveferris

Old or not I still want it!!!!!

  • WOW

#3 and #4 are not photos of the site. There is no runway in #3 nor is there a lake near the site and #4 is obviously out west.

haha look for the popular mechanic for kids episode where they tour this house, i guess they were building it at the time

  • Gizmo

Geez, this isn't a house it's the Umbrella Corp. Headquarters. I saw Milla Jovovich escape out of it yeaaars ago.

I've always felt I was part groundhog. Love the thoughts of underground living. Impervious to weather conditions. There was a news story a few years ago of a family that bought a missile site somewhere in Kansas that had about 7000 sq ft and they had converted and were living in about half of it. Yes, you'd have to have internal power generation capabilities and your water source would have to be storable and secure. With most sites having air exchange/purification systems, they would be self contained. Let the tornadoes and blizzards howl. I'd for sure modify any missile hoist mechanism into a platform hoist much like the aircraft hoists on carriers so I could store all my vehicles underground, out of harms way. Extremely cool possibilities. The one shown with the hanger and runway is the ultimate. Move over John Travolta! You got competition!
