Gerard Butler should not surf Mavericks (26 Photos)

: Actor (not professional surfer) Gerard Butler was hospitalized during production of the new movie Of Men and Mavericks while trying to act his way into big wave surfing. I get that he’s a tough guy, but seeing as the film is about the best surfers in the world struggling to conquer the waves at Mavericks, I don’t think Gerry from P.S. I Love You should be anywhere near the break. Here’s some highlights of just how big Mavericks can get.

If I were Gerard, this would be the time to do this. You have lots first responders standing by in case anything goes wrong, from water rescue to ambulances, and you are getting paid to do it. I think its awesome that he is trying to do his own stunts in a movie. Good for him.

Um, it's a joke…..like the pictures that have Robocop, quoted as saying "I'll be back" and the actor being sylvester stallone. I thought mixing up him with Braveheart and the Patriot would be a no brainer that I was…..fuck it, some of you guys are dumb as a double fisted cock sandwich when it comes to joking around.

6 = not Mavericks. It's Waimea. 13 is suspect, as well. Gerard wasn't even surfing. He was paddling around getting paddle shots with 3 or 4 of the top big wave surfers in the world when they got caught inside by a rogue set. It happens.
