Big trees or low ceilings?
#20 The original razor scooter
#12 Now it's time to start "The fun"
All the trees look like crap!
#23 What’s behind the guy on the left? It looks like a headless, creepy hand holding him. All the shots look quite macabre
First of all–looks like Slender Man–GAHHH!! One reason older photos look so macabre is because they are in B&W/Sepia plus not many smiles as you had to stand frozen for awhile because of old school exposure times.
looks like all the cool people were buying oversized trees and lopping off the tops for that perfect 1911 blob Christmas tree look. I think I’ll try it!
anyone know where to get a good pageboy haircut these days?
I was fully expecting to see federal express on that truck Santa is unloading….wtf?!?!
The trees all look like they are crying. They know they look sad.
Most of the people here are dead… :S
If not all of them. I always think about that when I look at old photos. Kind of sad really. Even though it's been +/- 100 years ago, it seems like it wasn't really that long ago.
Just wow……the only people the celebrated xmas 100 years ago was well off white people. Nothing has changed, has it?
What about this family #17 ?
Me stands corrected. Well off white people and one family could celebrate xmas.
You racist piece of trash. Im white but im not well off and I celebrate christmas. I guess you just got so caught up in feeling sry for yourself that you forgot that christmas isnt about trees and gifts. You just keep looking at the past and feeling sry for yourself it gives me a better chance of succeding in the future.
WTF are you going on about? It was a simple comment, not an indictment. Calm your ass down, plus xmas is for suckers.
Yes because 30 pictures is the culmination of an entire generation of the white devil
30 pictures may not be culmination be it is a representation. Ask the person who put this together.
Only losers cry over the past. My parents family were as poor as they come. Couldn’t afford aspirin for my grandfathers crippling arthritis. Often my mom would have to skip meals so the little ones could eat. I never heard them talk about the bad stuff. When they reminisce it’s about how close family ties were. My father worked 60 hrs a week until he died 10 years ago. Never heard him complain. I watched him put a woman’s girdle on to go to work with broken ribs.
Go back to your WIC, food stamps and unployment and tell me how rough life is. You won’t get sympathy from me. I don’t care if your ancestors were slaves. EVERYONE has a slave ancestor. Get over it.
The trees took the depression a little too serious.
Christmas is a money grabbing scam for people who can’t think for them selves.
Those aren't tree's… Those are Christmas bushes
This post is very train-heavy. I approve.
Who the F was responsible for growing trees back then? I'm guessing we really mastered tree growing. F yeah merica!
#25 This family was probably VERY wealthy back then!
Ugliest trees ever!!!
Why do some people feel the need to bring color into the holidays? It’s about family and friends and helping those less fortunate. I could care less what color your skin is if you do that’s your problem, and racism has no place in scociety anymore! Happy holidays to ALL!
#7 far right. Find her!
I would love to have all them old toys just as they are in the pics… them kids are sitting on a gold mine
I like the old style Christmas trees….though some of those decorations are a little sketchy….lol We don't buy our Christmas trees….we go out on our families property and cut one….and then plant a dozen or so more to replace them…they aren't perfectly trimmed like the trees on the lots…but they are beautiful and we get the fun of going out as a family to find it. Merry Christmas!
This is bullshit, I didn’t see Clark in one single picture…
All these people were rich . Show me a real chrismas from then
#9 and #10 and #19 looks like Coca Cola inventing Santa's look is pretty much Internet BS (is that redundant?)
