Sometimes it takes girls a while to come around…I was friends with my boyfriend for 3 years before we started dating (We've been together for a year now). I knew he liked me, but I didn't want to date him at the time because I was young and immature and I wanted a "hot" boyfriend. He knew he was friendzoned but stuck around anyway. That was really unfair of me to do that to him, and a lot of girls do it because they want the ego boost of having a guy around that will adore them with no risk (its a really immature thing to do). We started dating because after I had dated a few guys and grew up a bit, I was ready to date someone that I knew would treat me well and make me laugh and keep me safe. I think I could actually spend the rest of my life with him. And that is how my "friend" became something more…don't give up, because she is the one who needs you, not the other way around.

In this case… it was me who took too long. I had a GF for 10 years… things just didn't work out. So I got the girl I fell in love with in middle school, after college… had my flings, had my fun, and now have a family. Kinda Win win…

I don't understand this friendzone thing.
