This isn't for the LRT. This is the *new* wastewater system for the West end of E-town. This portion of the system is located at 84St & Jasper Ave. Its ties into the original tunnel project (done in the city in 1910, the pipe I'm standing in front of, a 3200mm combined line). The new pipe will bring wastewater to the Goldbar Treatment Plant via a syphon that will carry the water from this location to beneath the North Saskatchewan River and to a trunk line located approx. 150' below McNally C.H.S.
I had a tunnel labourer take this picture with my Olympus 'point and shoot' digital camera on panoramic setting, hence the slight stitch marks.
Rebar caps were installed the following day.
And about the ladder, the 'real' ladder is located to the right of the pic. Yes, its a bitch to climb.
