I wonder how many people read down until they found adjectives they would like to believe described them accurately, and posted those instead of the more obvious words at the top…

You can also get rid of Berlusconi and Cameron.

I hate it when theChive feels the urge to go political. I come here to get entertained, not for political propaganda, one way or another.

the answer to the question if there'll come a time when the rich are drained out of money is: no. the reason the rich are what they are is that they exploit the work force of every working man in the world, it's just the way capitalism works. what is way more likely is the oposite happens, as in the rich keep getting richer and more and more people have nothing. wouldn't it be interesting, when we reach a certain point when enough people lack every basic thing for their survival that we decide to revolutionize things?

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

#11 These days it's offensive to make fun of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender but why is it still ok to call religious people dumb?

    • aaaa

No one is calling them dumb, just crazy….. or irrational, if you will.

Just think about the things Christians buy into and think about it in terms of how rational it is. If it weren't your religion, that you grew up with, and you saw someone else living their entire life based on some fantasy stories and figures, you would think they are irrational. That's all.

There is a percentage of any major group that plays into ugly stereotypes and all who are a part of that group suffer the mockery of it to a certain degree. Just like the Asians who speak perfect English, the women who can parallel park without incident, or the republicans that don't attend KKK meetings, the person of faith who keeps it to themselves will have the suffer the mocking that lunatic fringe earn.

      • satchel

im republican, christian, white, american, why do i feel like the most despised being on earth?

        • roclawzi

Newt Gingrich, Pat Robertson, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. In that order.

#6 thank god The massive reagan and gw bush deficits were for military spending. That doesn't count.

    • Owen Smithers

At the very least, military spending is an enumerated power of the federal government. Sooooo many things going on now are not.

  • mikerom82

#11 i guess you consider blasphemy interesting.. why would you post something like that? some funny pics and then a pointless retarded atheist crwp

    • rich

@mikerom82 Its only blasphemy if you believe in it. I'm an atheist and I found that post pretty thought provoking

    • A2_tha_MFK

Where there is no belief, there is no blasphemy.

#17 my brain tried to read that out in Carl Sagan’s voice, but I just so happen to be watching cosmos at the time, so the Carl Sagan in my head was interupted by the Carl Sagan on my tv.
