He does, in fact, use a larger projector. It took his team and him about 72 hours straight of projecting, taping, and painting with the use of cranes for the installment in New Haven, CT (one of the only ones in North America).

These installations suck, how about a little more time on the planning stage. Plain geometric shapes…c’mon. Least do some interesting images if you are gonna make ut so large.

Call me crazy, but it seems like a lot of effort to make an effect that only works from one specific vantage point. Sure the view from that one vantage point is cool, but…

I guess it's obvious that I'm not an artist. =/

PROVE IT!!!

I did the same thing to my pool; all you need is an overhead projector. Very easy, just make sure you have the viewing spot you want because that will be the only spot it will look right.

i dont understand art like this considering you can only see it from one persons perspective.

If I'm ever rich, I'm going to buy a house with a few extra rooms, and have a couple of them painted with a ton of these illusions. If someone I know stays with me longer than I want them to, I will get them super drunk, drag their body into one of these rooms, set up a web camera, lock the door from the outside and watch as the friend tries to make sense of their surroundings with a brutal hang over.

I rarely like illusions but when I have to, I choose anamorphic.
