It is a good thing. Thugs and criminals are armed, therefore law abiding citizens & shop owners should have the right to protect themselves. The highest crime rates in America are in the cities with the HIGHEST gun control laws.
I carry a pistol EVERY time I leave the house.
If this guy were to come into my store with a mask on, he would be IMMEDIATELY drew down on and commanded to lay on the floor and the police would be called. If he made a threatening move I would not hesitate to protect myself or my staff.

Yes I guess if I lived in the USA I'd also own one, but Australia just doesn't have that high crime rate, we have crime but maybe 10 shootings a year country wide. The chances of being involved in a gun crime in Australia would be something like a 1 in 20 Million chance.

Either UK or Australia…Both have been legislated to a "gun free" status for honest and regular citizens. Criminals obviously still have guns, so you can understand why shop owners would be very scared of a guy like this. And I'll reiterate what the others have said…In the US, you walk into a convenience store like that and chances are the fire department will be washing your brains off the tile floors. Even in the communist republic of Chicago you have an ability to defend your place of business with a firearm. Just sayin.
