Martin Mars water bomber. 1 of 2 remaining. Built in the late 1940's. These things are the largest water bombers in the world. They are stationed at Sproat Lake on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. They have recently been commissioned to Australia and California. They were originally built as troop transporters, and there were only three built. The surviving two have been used as water bombers for the BC forestry industry since the early 50s. They are now owned by a private company.
