#23 is still better than #5

    • eww

I'd even take #23 with a venemous snake in it over #5

    • Fun_with_Numbrs

      All in all.
      Doesn't matter…..HAD SEX

    • hark1985

I agree. Even if there is a fire

      • FeloniousFish

Can you even find the hole on #5?

        • drea619

no but there's plenty of areas that probably provide a similar sensation, just poke anywhere for warm squishy fun!

        • The_Dood

Yeah, you just have to roll her in flour and look for the wet spot.

          • prune

That would likely be the arm pits

        • Bahamo

Like my supervisor once told me…

"Just toss some flour on her, and find the wet spots."

  • JOHN

#14 because they aren't going to just cut the fucking thing off.

    • Sean

That and you have to make sure you have all the pieces before you put it back together. I HATE it when you think you are all done, and BAM forgot a carpal back in the ER.

    • dedubs

Fundamental problem with US healthcare… unnecessary medical screenings. Ok, maybe in this case they needed an x-ray because surgery is needed. Most of the time, for a broken bone, treatment is exactly the same whether or not an x-ray is performed.

      • Reality

Fundamental problem with US healthcare… superfluous tort system, medicare, medicaid, mandatory pro bono work by physicians for elective procedures, increasing bureaucratic control via LAWYERS (ie former English or political science majors lacking scientific or legitimate business knowledge), and the decline in physicians because of all of these things.

        • dedubs

Simply put fundamental problem is cost. I agree with all of those things; they are problems because they contribute to cost

          • moondoggy13

Nope. Cost is the "effect". All the things listed are the "cause".

            • Indeed

Precisely, when you're getting forced to perform procedures for free, or at 30 cents on the dollar… cost must increased in other areas. Too bad most people think doctors are exploitative evil rich people and don't realize the doctors are being turned into a dying breed by governmental bureaucracy.

      • JOHN

most of those "unnecessary medical screenings" are to protect doctors from potential legal action if "not enough was done for the patient."

        • dedubs

While some are, and we do need tort reform, many screenings are performed because many physicians and hospitals are payed on a fee for service basis. So, the more tests they perform, the more they are paid. Patients allow the tests to be performed both because they are ignorant and because a third party pays.

          • HUH?

hospitals order superfluous tests because its quick, and easier than actually mentally trying to figure out what is going on (and yes, profitable), doctors in private practice do it to avoid getting sued.

            • dedubs

So to diagnose someone doctors either think about it really hard, or perform tests? HUH? is right

And private practice doctors are more likely to be paid fee for service while those who belong to an HMO are more likely to be paid via capitation.

            • A Doctor

Fortunately for you these tests are available. Less than 50 years ago erratic hormone levels or specific pathogen tests were not available because they did not exist. We don't give the tests to prevent from being sued, we give them because naked observation alone cannot tell us the exact problem. We have to create a differential diagnosis (list of possible maladies) before we can test, which is not in lieu of "mentally trying to figure out what is going on."

              • dedubs

Yes, tests are good. Thank god we have them doctors can detect disorders that they couldn't years ago. But there have been TONS of studies showing that many unnecessary screenings and procedures are performed, wasting billions of dollars per year and either not helping or in some cases actually harming patients. I'd be happy to provide you with that information, doc.

      • Weyoun

Funny picture post….somehow turns into a political statement.

    • 15436

I don't know why you are all bitching on about how this is an unnecessary x-ray. They did that because especially with such a break they must be sure there are no bone splinters happily wandering around.

    • Weyoun

So it would become a legendary picture on the internet for years and years.

  • Nick

    #3 was mesmerising!

    #15 teddy roosevelt?

    • webster

No, "you are" = "you're". "Your" means something else entirely. Unfortunately, I see "your" way more than "you're" which is really sad.

hahahahahaha And if you're over 100

I never believe it when my friends say it because images like that pop into my head. Then I point out a real geek and they scowl. 😦 I do love you geeky guys, I promise! 🙂

      • spicticus

We can't meet their expectations because of Jane Austen, she is to blame!

    • Shawn Bell

I think it's great that she's been sober for 10 days now.

    • Alpha0010

Rule to avoid trolls: Don't mention a specific troll, lest they are summoned to your comment. They are like the devil in that respect.
