AWESOME IDEA, but you may want to look at how you are displaying the American Flag on the sleeve. I believe you have it backwards. You have an awesome website, and I wouldn't want you to offend anyone by displaying the American flag incorrectly. I found the below info at http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/more/displayonly.h
"When the flag is displayed in a manner other than by being flown from a staff, it should be displayed flat, whether indoors or out. When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window it should be displayed in the same way, that is with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street. When festoons, rosettes or drapings are desired, bunting of blue, white and red should be used, but never the flag."

Uhm, yea. The flag on the sleeve is backwards.

  • Cashcow Chive

The flag has to be backwards so theChive can avoid paying any type of copyright fees. Same with them not having the branch symbol on the shirts; they'd have to get the rights for them. This is so people won't make money off military symbols and whatnot, but clearly theChive said"fuck it and we're going to make money off military people." If theChive really supported the military, and wasn't just exploiting it, they would give out these shirts for free to people who are in the military.

But alas there is no reason due to the high number of people willing to give up their first born child for a shirt to advertise a site. I guess it's cool when some random person says "Chive on" to you when you're wearing the shirt, it's like a fun little club or something. Mean while 99% of people think you have a retarded shirt on with no meaning.

  • KMart

The flag is correct – if you look at any US military uniforms, that's the way it goes: you keep the stars closest to your heart.

  • bruce

any of the uniforms?… the only uniform that has the flag on it is the army utilities (which the only thing those are good for is blending into a couch from the 70's)…. there are 0 uniforms in the marine corps, 0 uniforms in the navy, and 0 uniforms in the air force that sport the american flag. furthermore, the flag is in the same location and backwards on both the chive tee and the army utilities so they clearly made them based off the army's uniform
