I know what you’re all thinking — What could possibly go wrong?
still a better love story than twilight
Hey look, that bear is playing with his food!
There is not one second in this video where the man looks like he is actually in control… He looks like the bears little toy
That is one ugly chick
Aww, it's like a stuffed animal, but it can kill you.
Is it just me or does this guy sound wasted…..
Im jealous as hell
I'm pretty sure I know how this guy is going to die.
Bart was actually not a Grizzly but an Alaskan Kodiak. He was 9'6" tall and weighed 1,500 lbs. My mom went to school with Doug and introduced him to his wife. He owns more animals than just bears though. Doug trains all kinds of wild animals for use in film.
[...] plays with Grizzly bear. Old man plays with grizzly bear : theCHIVE I thought this was amazing. I'm not after a debate about ethics or how stupid he may be [...]
Its good to know the "special place" on a grizzly. I think the sticks are used to help find it – and smack it. Would anyone like to smack my special place?
S C R E W T H A T !
Those sticks are used as a defense mechanism, and no – the bears are not beaten with them – nor would the sticks hurt this adult bear. But since they are young those sticks are used as a punishing tool (just like the newspaper on the nose for the a do)
So even when they are adult they are psychologically scared by them
Why? It's not because the bear might eat one of them, but because during the 'play time' a bear might accidentally sit or hurt the man, if that happens, just a show of a stick will scare the bear away and make him stop
